I'm Ella, I'm 28 and I live in South Africa. I'm trying to experience as much as possible and somehow maintain balance in my life at the same time. Here to keep things in perspective, stay safe, and yeah, to have fun. And hey, maybe I'll even have some gems of wisdom to share myself. :)

Pretty great at the moment. It's the middle of summer and I'm on vacation, so it's hard to complain. I go back to work in about two weeks, so I'm really looking forward to doing a lot of not much for a while.

I haven't really travelled much in the rest of Africa and Cape Town (where I live) is a very cosmopolitan city. I think people hear 'Africa' and they think lions and dirt roads and poverty, but that's pretty far removed from my life. Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero came here on tour earlier this month and they both tweeted all these pics from various safaris or nature things and I kept thinking that it was so funny because I'm sure half their fans looked at them and thought all of SA is like that, which is pretty far from true.

I knew someone from South Africa, they were a really great person. Sadly they passed away recently, they were so young. :( I still have some rand coins from the last time I was hanging out with them.
