Wetwolves,
Lyrica (pregabalin), in my opinion, works wonders for social anxiety and overall mood lift. I had used it a couple of times recreationally and medicinally, and I can tell you that the MDMA like effects are not noticeable until you begin to get into some of the higher recreational doses, and even then the effects are more like GHB ether or some sort of alcohol and weak opiate combination as you will find yourself stumbling around, running into walls, and slurring your speech (while your cognitive functions are left unretarted) if you chose to abuse this medication. The only comparison to MDMA I could make was the intense body buzz it gave me which came in waves and pulses, rather than a gradual and consistent buzz, much like the body buzz from MDMA does. Lyrica also gave me slight color inhancments which is not unlike MDMA but nowhere near as strong.

I cannot attest to Lyrica making me live "in the moment" like stimulating drugs such as adderall do mainly because Lyrica seemed to lower my inhibitions, much like alcohol or a benzo, rather than increasing my desire and motivation to approach strangers.

I found that Lyrica and weed made a great combination, but the only thing, in my opinion, that can truly lessen the anxiety accompanied by marijuana is becoming more familiar with it's effects and developing a mild tolerance, as when I was first introduced to marijuana (and a fair amount of times after my first time) I had very intense anxiety attacks no matter what drug I used to try and combat this. That is not to say Lyrica won't work for you though, everyone is different.

I find that Lyrica is largely underrated as a medicinal drug for social anxiety as well as a recreational drug. Lyrica gave me euphoria comparable to a moderate oxycodone high and has very unique effects on both the body and the mind which sets it apart from both benzos and opiates while inhabiting qualities from both.

I think that if you plan to use Lyrica for it's anxiolytic properties you will not be disappointed.
