Opioids Water After Snorting?

Hey whatsup bluelight,
Have a quick question i cant find the answer to and would like to know pretty soon. With opiates, after i snort them i usually shoot some water up my nose to help the opiates absorb into the nasal cavity.

Anyways, my question has to do with Opana ER. I know they gel up when they come in contact with water, but heres my question...

Should i still shoot some water up my nose before/after/at all when snorting opana? or will this just make it gel even worse? This might be a dumb question i just wanna get the most out of snorting these.

PS I always use water after like roxis and oxys because they never gel, so thats why i am asking this question lol

I would imagine that if water makes the drug you are trying to snort gel up, that it would be a bad idea to squirt water in your nose after/before snorting it. I cant imagine how a gelled solution would be easier to absorb than a powder one.

i wouldnt do this. snorting those pills... the gell tends to get stuck in your nasil cavity and the back of your throat. i know i personally ended up coughing out gell. i cant imagine your geting the full potential from the drug.


if you absolutely MUST snort these kind of pills do really small lines of them. that way you wont clog up your shit so fast.

Opanas dont gel up bad, plus snorting them is the best way to get the most out of em because they are ER, plus i didnt ask you if you would snort something that gels up im just looking for some advice, because i know moisture helps opiates absorb, its the cut that gels up....

Yea SmokeTrails you are correct, i have found the best way is to do tiny little tooth pick lines so it doesnt just clog my shit up, if there was just as easy as a way to do these and get close to the same amount i wouldnt snort em, i know they are bad for my lungs sinus cavities, but yes little lines do help not clog the nose up

yea, it doesnt matter if your nose is "dry", it will still absorb whatever you snort.

I'm afraid I'd have to agree with SlowPoke - if they gel up then don't put them up yer nose in the first place

You could always try plugging them. Not sure on the BA of Oxymorphone rectally, but it's got to be more than the 10% oral.
And a gelly up the bum can't be worse than up the nose

Thanks for the input everyone, but plugging isnt a choice today, i dont have the supplies on hand and no car to get any...but im doing fine with little lines my nose doesnt tend to get clogged at all if i keep doing little lines, all i was asking is if a little water after i do them would make the oxymorphone abosrb BETTER, im not worried about my nose getting clogged from gel, it usually never does lol, but thanks for the input everyone

So basically dont hassle myself with the water and just enjoy my little lines for best results? Sounds like a plan, Thanks everyone whos helped me, if anyone else had anymore advice im all hears/eyes lol (i have a nose too )

I might put a drop up each nostril after im finihsed with these, thanks again everyone!

I've always done a little bump (Edit: *of water*) in each nostril after any kind of line, if i remember, lol. Doing too large of a line I end up getting powder in the back of my throat, so I try to keep my lines decent size. I take the opana ER40s and IR10s for pain, I'm not sure how many months hes going to keep me on it, probably depends on how I respond to physical therapy. The IR10s are nice but a lot more powder, I have the generic so its just a little white pill. taking too much water will make a lot of it go to the back of your throat, just enough will get it to absorb quicker (I think). I'm not too sure about the extended release opanas, I've done water after and no water after, I think I just need to experiment more, or just be very light on the water afterwards

Edit #2: I was taught to do the water thing with cocaine, I don't know if it works best with coke since its such a short acting drug to speed up absorption in every way possible....but once you get into smoking crack, the euphoria can be even better than IV coke, but you probably go through more smoking it-
