Well,

I had some kind of weird experience a couple of days ago.

I took around ~150mg coming from a good source (3/4 of a green android pill). Good come up, good feeling, all very clean. But it only lasted for around 1 hour. After that, a strong headache came, and the effects were more or less gone (still getting some energy).

I lost a little bit count of how much water I drank, but it could be easily more than 1.5L. I think it could be the reason of the headache and worsening of the effects.

What's the recommended amount of water to drink? Any other recommendations?

If you aren't dancing around like a madman then a regular cup (300ml) per hour is fine, If you are then 500ml per hour is good.

^^^^^ that

And you'd have to drink a lot more than 1.5l to be in trouble. I don't think it would play a role in why you didn't roll great. As for the headache, it's more than common to have a headache on the immediate comedown for many people.

In future use the guide above and your own brain to regulate what you are drinking. Always try and take a piss now and again, can be difficult but enough effort usually gets something out :)

What was your diet for the day? Did you drink that 1.5L in that hour?

Average recommendation is 2L per day, if you did that 1.5L in one hour that could have had an effect, especially if you were sweating badly you wouldn't have much sodium in your body because you sweat it all out but please more details?

Try the occasional cup of cordial/kool aid/energy drink to keep your sugar & sodium up and remember "sippy sippy" :)

A bottle of water or two max per roll is sufficient.
People have been hospitalized from drinking over 3L of water during a roll, it throws off your water levels in your body which affects osmosis

I read a good study that administered 1.7mg/kg of MDMA to humans and monitored psychological & physiological variables. At the peak, measured 75 mins after ingestion, body temperature ranged from 0.2-0.5˚C which wasn't even significant. This is consistent with other research as well. Point is, at usual recreational doses (1-2mg/kg) the importance of water is minimal because body temperature barely rises.

It is important to note that the study did not examine recreational users, and thus participant's were not dancing which would, hypothetically, increase body temperature. Then again, I've danced at a rave and still feel that 1-2 bottles is adequate if not more than adequate. However, it is very dose-dependent. If you're taking higher doses then hydration is very important. When rats are given 5mg/kg their body temperature spikes pretty dangerously high yet still, they do not usually die.

I used to consume large amounts of water (1 bottle per hour) while rolling and find myself needing at least 6-8 pisses, every 30 minutes, on the comedown. This is a clear indication of over hydrating. More recently, I drunk only 2 bottles and still found myself needing 2-3 pisses on the comedown. I'm a firm believer that, providing your dose is reasonable (as yours was), water is optional. Whether your excessive water consumption caused the headaches - I don't know.

MDMA is supposed to last longer than 1 hour. 1,5l of water is too much on 1 hour, try 0,5l pr hour.

Sure you got mdma though? 1 hour of feeling good off 150mg doesn't sound like the real deal to me

Just as an example of a water OD is Leah Betts who :- (from wiki)

her death was actually not directly due to MDMA consumption, but rather the result of the large quantity of water she had consumed,[9] apparently in observation of an advisory warning commonly given to ravers to drink water to avoid dehydration resulting from the exertion of dancing continuously for hours. Leah had been at home with friends and had not been dancing, yet consumed about 7 litres (12 pints) of water in less than 90 minutes, resulting in water intoxication and hyponatremia, which in turn led to serious swelling of the brain, irreparably damaging it.

Well unless you tested your gear before swallowing it, no way we can know what you too. High for an hour and then headache doesn't sound like mdma though. You need to drink quite a lot more than 1.5 litres of water to thin your blood.
