Im sorry which of us has scars all along the veins in her arms?

Im sorry who traded all her years of being a junkie for a new attatchment to alcohol?

Im sorry who kicked three of her four children out of home before they were 12 years old?
-and Im a waste of space
Im sorry who has a four year old son to raise but spends all of her time and cash on dope and grog?
-and Im a waste of space
Im sorry which of us has a different one of the local alco's in her bed every night?
-and Im a waste of space
I never thought you were a waste of space....
Ive felt pity for you and more so for your family
-but Ive never thought you were a waste of space
Ive held you while you cried on my shoulder about the mess youve made of your life
-but Ive never thought you were a waste of space
Ive helped you stumble home after more than a few too many
-but Ive never thought you were a waste of space
Ive had you live in my home cause you had nowhere else to go
-but Ive never thought you were a waste of space
Ive shrugged off dozens of nights of slurred abuse
-but Ive never thought you were a waste of space
