It was 60 mg er morphine, that's one reason why I know I was not overdosing lol. And I don't like anything that makes me tired, I'm the other type of opiate user that dislikes the effect (nod) that most look for. Either way to the others just take my dam word for it , not an overdose lol. I also like morphine over all other opiates which is counter to most :/. I was in a college study few years back, morphine has almost the exact same amount of cns stimulation as it does cns depression for me. Was told its just one of those rare body chem things. Anyways on topic I just figure that the increased heart rate might have pumped it threw my body faster when it reached peak blood levels maybe. Least that's the only thing I can think of, and no the speed up heart was not an effect of the opiates, I had started having panic attacks way before ever trying opiates. But like I said I've had my panic attack and psvt under control for least 2 years now thankfully, so haven't experienced it since.
Side note: 60mg er morphine is my doc, no more no less. I don't take other opiates because of the reaction they give me, oxycodone and all the rest don't give me a pleasurable high and instead just make me irritable and annoyed.
And before anyone complains or grips just look it up opiates have both cns stimulant and depressing effects, granted in 90% of the population its cns stimulant effect is probably around 90% depression 10% stimulation. Just so happens for me its not :/ but that's also the only reason I like them ^_^. I don't get people liking the "nod" I would hate that feeling, and I'm not badmouthing anyone for liking that, its just I don't. Same goes for other drugs like Xanax, to me it has 0% recreational value.
And I get that there are varying levels of overdose , but for me the line is drawn at harmful effects. If there are no harmful effects like RTrain stated resp depression , or liver damage etc then there is no overdose. That's just how I view it however.
