Well based off the odd events that occurred last evening I feel the urge to ask if I happened to have smoked some laced cannabis.
I am a fairly experienced smoker, a little over a year, and for the past 2 weeks I have been baked everyday. With that in mind I can say that I have a fairly decent grasp on what getting high feels is supposed to feel like. Prior to this moment I had a somewhat strong drug back round with multiple experiences using a variety of amphetamines, MDMA(ecstasy), marijuana of many grades, alcohol, and one experience with psychedelic mushrooms.
My story began last night when I went out to smoke a joint that I rolled from this new batch of cannabis I got from my usual dealer. I didn't notice anything strange in particular when I was rolling the joint, but keep in mind I was pretty high when I rolled it so I might not have noticed something I would've otherwise noticed if I was sober. When I smoked it I noticed the smoke was kind of flavorless and it was much hotter than normal (this could not be true because it was very cold outside that day and maybe I was just imagining things). I then went into a coughing attack, which is unusual since I can normally smoke a whole joint fine without any irritation. I didn't think much of it and was actually satisfied thinking that the coughing would help elevate the high.
It started like any normal high, but things take a strange turn as soon as I took a shower. I began to take the shower right when I got back inside the house and at this point it still felt just like a really strong high and nothing unusual. In the shower things became a little "trippy", but I thought this could still just be a REALLY strong cannabis high even though I had never felt anything like this before only using marijuana. It started out when I got some pretty intense closed eye visuals which are similar to the ones I experienced using psychedelic mushrooms. This shocked me because even though I have had many closed eyed visuals on weed, they have never been this vivid or realistic. I spent about 30 minutes in the shower with my eyes closed most of the time and I kept putting my face directly in front of the shower nozzle because it felt so strong and it created even stronger visuals. I found my activities rather bizarre as I normally am able to keep it together when I am high and this was only 1 joint. "How could 1 joint cause a high like this?" I thought.
So I got out of the shower a little bit confused but not really convinced that this was anything other than weed, and that this could just be the strongest high I had ever experienced. I proceeded to walk to my computer and I started to feel extremely nauseas and can hardly walk straight. In fear of my parents seeing me in this state I went to go lay in bed to act like I was sleeping. In bed I became very itchy like I am having an allergic reaction to something, and even though I am not allergic to anything I imagined that this is what it feels like to be allergic to something. I got rashes all over my body, my cheeks became swollen and red, and I just couldn't stop itching. Remember I had never had a reaction like this to marijuana, and at this point was when I get the first idea that this might actually be laced with some other drug that is causing this reaction. As I stated before I have tripped on magic mushrooms once, and even though this wasn't nearly as intense, there were some haunting similarities. Minus the euphoria, introversion, vivid hallucinations, and self exploration it reminded me exactly of my shroom trip. The room wouldn't stop shaking, everything was moving so fast, the songs I was listening to sounded distant and unfamiliar, and I would begin to play mind games with myself (something I did when I was under the influence of magic mushrooms). Intense closed eye visuals were still present, only getting stronger, and the subtle morphing and melting of objects that you see on a psychedelic hallucinogen began to occur (subtly though nothing like what you can see on a shroom trip).
At this point I was pretty worried that I had gotten myself into something too big and that I was not ready right now to enter a full psychedelic trip. With my mushroom trip I had a strong mindset, was well rested, and was in a good setting and it still had some bad moments. It was very late, around 2am, and I was definitely not expecting anything so powerful. As time moved on the room was still spinning violently, I was getting lost in the light bulb in front of me, closed eye visuals were became stronger, and I couldn't really move out of my bed in fear that I will catch the eyes of my parents. After 2 hours of laying in bed I somehow managed to fall asleep. By the time I fell asleep I was pretty convinced that this wasn't weed.
This morning I woke up with no hangover or anything of that sort but I can't get out of my mind what occurred last night.
Even though I might be jumping to conclusions to quickly by thinking it was laced, I am just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience to mine and whether they found out that what they smoked was just really dank weed or possibly laced with another drug.
