ok heres the setting..
Ive used opiates whenever i could get them.. Codiene, Hydro, and oxy.. Not to much though maybe like one or two high doses a month.. Anyway I just aquired quite a bit of codiene with no APAP..
The night before last i ended up taking 350 mg spread out over 4 hours.. I think APAP makes a big difference in effects cuz it usually only takes 200 or 250.. Anyway, the next night, I end up tkaing way too much speed, and my heart rate is scary.. So, i immeadiatly pop 250 mg, followed by another 100 the next hour, then another 100 after that.. It seemed like it was doing nothing, until i was hurling in the sink.. Stronger than any eperience with codeine ive ever had.. Never puked on opiates either.. Anyway, I realised that 450 mg is a pretty high dose of codiene, but that the euphoria was not very strong, just the somatics. Was it the speed that did this or tolerance.. If it was tolerance, how long should i wait before 250 will get me off again??

I find that speed or meth will override pretty much any high mentally if you are tweaking hard. Although slite effects may be felt in combination with meth, it will essentially be a waste of whatever you mix with it. So it is understandable that you didn't feel the normal euphoria associated with opiates, especially codeine which is pretty weak. Tolerance may also be somewhat of a factor, but I'm pretty sure that it was mostly the meth. On the other hand, I find that drugs in combination with meth while coming down can be quite pleasant, specifically oxycodone. I did a normally light dose of oxycodone while coming down from a pretty nice meth rush and achieved a very pleasurable euphoric high. The comedown depression and ill body effects normally associated with meth were cancelled out as there was somehwat of a synergy. I know that others that feel the same way about this combo and also that disagree, just depends on your "drug preference" :-)

Well can you compare to similar codeine dosages done recently while not on meth?
I disagree about meth combos...while yet to try with a good opiate I find absolutely wonderful results combining with benzos/psuedo barbs (meprobomate=miltown not that shitty bio-precursoer soma). Actually they blunt the 'high' a little but instead of being a paranoid scared fuck I am a relaxed open and confident...and I think much more sober sounding. Hell this combo really makes me into a nice guy...kinda weird.
My thought on the codeine is that codeine has a ceiling effect. Well documented medically, personally and ancedotally. It relies on conversion by CYP2D6 to morphine for its primary effect and this pathway can become saturated. In other words 400mg might not be much more effective than 200. As you (slowly to codeine) start getting a tolerance it seems this pathway improves explaining the sometimes fairly large codeine intake by regular users (interesting question if you need to abuse codeine for this to happen or if you routinely took 2d6 inhibitors would you eventually potentiate your codeine experience.
Also it is my beliefe (but this is just off the top of my head don't feel like looking up now) that meth is also metabolized by the same enzyme. Thus your speed use could very well have actually inhibited the effects of the codeine.
As for the somatics a couple factors come into play. First stims naturally make me and many people more nauseous. Secondly you probably weren't eating correctly so you were taking on empty stomach. Finally I am unsure why opiates cause nasuea it is possible the unconvered codeine is more potent at inducing nasuea.
If you ever do a similar test with oxy (whose primary effects do not require metabolism) please post as I am curious what is going on.
Also the fact that no one ever seems to goofball(h+meth...is this still even used) but lots of people speedball. Is this just because of the lack of rush from meth compared to IV coke, the types of people who do h usually are more likely to do C and inject, or is there some actual interesting neurochemical effect going on.
For those who have tried meth+h loaded in a syringe at once could you compare to speedball?

I agree with shneed, I think the speed high was overpowering the effects of the codeine. Also, as quale pointed out, there could be some reduction in effects from the codeine as a result of enzyme inhibition/competition, though it's impossible to say just how much of a reduction there would be...

I would have to say it is a anticipate of the both. The speed was doing it's job so when you took the codeine it was being fought off by the speed. Once you had that much codeine in you the speed was no longer able to fight it off. That's why it kicked in all of a sudden and made you puke. I would stay away from the codeine next time you want to get all tweeked up...

200 mg of codiene used to be my standard dosew. But a month ago.. i went on a two week percocet binge taking my norm dose from 20 mg to 35 (of oxy).. Now, a month later, i start taking codiene again and i find it takes 300 mg to get me going.. I thought a month was enough time. Anyway, two days after this speed incident i took a 350 mg dose and it had me in a warm place.
I was using amphetamine.. not methamphetmaine.. probably not important.
Also, my heart rate never dropped below maybe 100 the whole night.. The reason why i took all that codiene was because my heart was pounding so hard, and i wanted to slow it down..
