Opioids Was I nodding?

Hi,
I took codeine for the first time yesterday, having never touched opiates before. I took about 250mg or so and after about an hour I was sort of fading in and out of consciousness, I felt really warm and comfortable but I couldn't figure out whether I was asleep or not and I was having these sort of vivid dreams - I mean I was dreaming just like when I'm asleep except I was aware of them. I've read descriptions of what a "nod" is, is that what I experienced?

Sounds like it to me, you're lucky I've never been able to nod off codeine.

It sure is, not if you have a tolerance maybe but it is a very real opiate, thus capable of producing effects thereof.
