Hello,

I am not aware of a thread of this kind. So basically I really got into electronica and techno records from the 90s over the past year. Old Warp releases, UK techno (which I found surprisingly serious and deep music), etc... Also lots of great tracks for DJing, good groove and bass, but that special feeling, lots of dance records nowadays are missing...

to kick it off, I'll share this masterpiece. unfortunately used vinyl copies are quite expensive.. :/

Double posting. This is the third time I see that in less than 10 minutes. I was told this is not suppose to happen.
I was warned not to do it. So it bothers me seeing other people doing it all the time.

Bringing that up here will sidetrack the thread and content IME. Please feel free to pm me if you have an issue that you feel needs addressing.

oh what the hay:

why is this track tripping over itself?
Please look below for a direct link.

I used to have a not for sale cd promo of that black dog track. I bought it. :) ...noice. That germain track is dope.

Noodle I know of no one that's even heard this track, I tend to look for anything that's rare; everyone seems to be looking for the next best thing.

...loving this thread so far. I feel like the late eighties into the nineties was a seminal time for sampled and sequenced dance music

^ ya I feel that most people who listen to (or even produce) techno/house nowadays are not really aware of the roots of the music they're making. I got so much inspiration from this stuff, and I feel that we should bring back the soul from these days. I think most producers are so much into tweaking the sounds that they kind of forget about writing exciting songs...

edit:

one of my favourites to finish a set
