Smiley^, (assuming that those bits ARE glass) they were probably put in bcos of all the media bullshit hype abt glass in pills to attain a strong enough effect if they put less active chemicals in the same pill, thus saving them more $ to produce the same number of pills.
so they were manuactured with the misconception that glass makes the stomach lining bleed to aid absorbing blablabla...
and yes, id think the local producers of dodgey pills dont really care wat happens to pple who eat their products. they're just after $.

cutting drugs with glass is by no means a new thing!!! if you know much about coke and have been anywhere near the source as it first enters a country and starts to get distributed...you'd know that it has often times been cut with glass!!! altbhough it is usually quite finely ground...
they put it in the coke so that when u snort it the tiny grains of glass cut the inside of your nose and the active ingrediants in the coke reach their sites of action faster!!
