Bluelighter
The thread pulled off the spindle
And unraveled August blisters
I heave a heavy sigh
Alas the air is growing thin
The can of gasoline
Sitting idle at my bedside
Tempts me with potential warmth
Of which I seek to covet
Your spark I crave besides me
In my shivering hibernation
I wait between each visit
Like a clock that's left unwinded
However shall I seek
But a small shred of purpose
When you are all my worth
And tonight I lay here worthless
And unraveled August blisters
I heave a heavy sigh
Alas the air is growing thin
The can of gasoline
Sitting idle at my bedside
Tempts me with potential warmth
Of which I seek to covet
Your spark I crave besides me
In my shivering hibernation
I wait between each visit
Like a clock that's left unwinded
However shall I seek
But a small shred of purpose
When you are all my worth
And tonight I lay here worthless
