War on Pot: $42 billion per year

wow this article really nailed it. so all those Anti-Drug articles about how kids don't do well in school if they smoke...is it really because of smoking or b/c the gov't is spending all that money on combating weed instead of building better school systems (which lack an unprecedented amount of funds, and are going down the shitter every year)?

$42 billion? are you fucking kidding me? it really goes to show you how much our gov't hates it. if your going to spend $42 billion on getting rid of something, you must fuckin loathe it.

can you imagine that meeting? "so this year we'll set aside $40 billion to get rid of that plant a lot of people seems to like... and have never died from... and has some medicinal uses... fuck why don't we add another 2 billion to that budget, this is just getting out of control."
 
Why dont they just legalize pot, and use their $42 billion to employ people to farm it and make clothes out of it for poor people?

This solves lots more problems than having a war on the poor plant!

You are giving people jobs, giving people clothes, and making the country prosper.

see the money they spend against marijuana is used to generate profit through fining people and arresting them leading to overcrowded prisions. They get more money in return or else they probably wouldnt do it, the war on drugs funds black ops too.

if you wanna fund anything. Legalize, Boom 42 billion right. Tax, wouldn't you spend a little more if it's legal. (cig smokers get the idea). And boom a couple billion more. 42$ and then some more. Why don't they use that to get our troops out of fuckin Iraq
