Wanting to get suboxone on prescription - Questions And Help Please

Also, if no one has read yet. I saw a suboxone certified doctor on July 31st, 2012. Was prescribed 8mgs/day and my grandpa is paying all of the bills until I am clean so thats awesome. Plus my insurance covers heroin addiction, not opioids/opiates, which is weird. So that will kick in soon but it's about 350 bucks/month for the visits and scripts. No drug testing yet, fine with my Klonopin script because I've had it for 4-5 years. And he's an awesome doctor!!!!!

Quick question. I take Suboxone and Klonopin daily. My girlfriend is 6 months pregnant. I never kiss her until at least an hour or two minimum after the suboxone is dissolves but she is worried the benzos and suboxone(opioids) are coming through my pores or sweat and harming the child. Anyone think this is true or possible? The pharmacist said no but I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and get an answer. Any thoughts tonight or tomorrow morning before I call would be great.

i'm no doctor but i believe your pharmacist would be correct - your doctor will know for sure so definitely do check with them for peace of mind. i can't see your gf absorbing any of your sweat through her body, enough that it would somehow intoxicate the baby.

congrats on your progress!

Thank you. I have yet to call them but I will soon. I'm sure it can't be but hopefully not. My suboxone doctor appointment 2nd one is tomorrow. Been taking 4-6mgs/day. Feeling great still, everything is going wonderful minus the job search. Nothing yet but hopefully soon. I recommend suboxone to anyone who feels they need that extra crutch to deal with their addiction while trying to get ahead of there addiction and move forward in life, without the high or withdrawals.
