Wanting a professional "sitter"

The most likely thing that will happen when you take PCP is the same as happens when you take K - you'll lay down and giggle.

My experiences have been different. With ketamine, I become catatonic; I'm ppredominantly motionless and still. PCP is like a large dose of ketamine combined with moderate dose of some stimulant, say methamphetamine or cocaine. It's kind of hard to describe, but I suppose one may describe it best as stimulant dissociative anaesthetic. I have the urge to wander about whilst on PCP, sort of like Adderall but with a somewhat greater intensity. I feel like I'm moving very quickly but, having had my girlfriend monitor me whilst on it, I'm actually moving like a souse; as if I'm drunk, that is.

I stumbled, traipse about, and wobble drunkenly, yet feel like my gait is abnormally quick but nonetheless normal. If you smoke some PCP—and I mean REAL sherm, not some heavily diluted shit or embalming fluid—you will feel almost like you're sprinting on stilts, sometimes even whilst not walking at all. This is why I fervently believe PCP requires a sitter (my girlfriend, in my case), whereas ketamine typically would not, as the latter does not act as a stimulant.

But lots of people dance on K so it's obviously stimulating in some people - isn't the entire gay dance scene based on K?

That's like saying meth has to do with gay people because they use is. It's a completely negative prejudice statement.

An old aquaintencs had once explained how k connects the body's intake of sound and expression of movement. That's why people use it to dance. I guess you detach from yourself and find connections outside of oneself. Definitely requires a safe environment so one doesn't attach to the wrong thing.

But lots of people dance on K so it's obviously stimulating in some people - isn't the entire gay dance scene based on K?

Hahaha! Dancing on special K? How mild of a dose are you talking here? I was talking about k-hole-sized quantities compared to equivalent-sized qquantities of PCP.

Maybe pussy-sized doses can make you dance, but I was talking about going all the way with needle in the arm and a heroic dose. That's, afterall, the only way to use ketamine without being wasteful, I think—the highest dose with the most intense ROA (intravenous, I find).

That's like saying meth has to do with gay people because they use is. It's a completely negative prejudice statement.

1. Assuming the Gay community uses methamphetamine or ketamine, what precisely is the negative or prejudiced part?
2. If the Gay community uses meth or ketamine to the point where it's practically de rigueur, like funny clothes and overpriced clubs for golfers, then why might it be prejudiced to impute meth or ketamine to the gay people?
3. I'm fairly sure that if anyone wants to be prejudiced toward gays, it ain't 'cause of the drugs they take.

Nom I'm just going to stop this discussion. Remember and be aware people around the world read this even if you don't care how it reflects on the identity of your screen name. Your statement without any evidence is completely harmful especially talking about "heroic doses" as those are foolish doses looking at it in another light.

Remember the huge k line girl in Asia? The one who did like a 5-20 ft line across a bar to win prize money only to collapse on the dance floor 2-5 minutes later dieing some point later. How heroic... I honestly was sad for the wasted life without a care for the k besides being over surprised at how much was fed to her before she could even feel it.

Be careful what you say. I can see you have lots of personal issues to work on with yourself. I highly recommend slowing down and focusing on breathing, life, and death for a bit.

Anyways I'm out

OK, I'm listening....

And your statement without any evidence that my statement without any evidence about "heroic dozes" being foolish doses is foolish, looking at it from another light.

YAY! A stupid fucking idiot without any regard for safety is dead! Why must you be sad at such a mirthful occasion as the timely death of a moron?

Be careful what you say.

Geebus, man. Can't you see how carefully indited each of my posts always ever are by the read of them? Besides, I practice more care with drug use than my commentary, which is of most importance.

I can see you have lots of personal issues to work on with yourself. I highly recommend slowing down and focusing on breathing, life,I and death for a bit.

Ok, Dr Phil. Now I really think you should go away before I verbally castrate you.

I do see how hard you try to heal yet you don't see how your actions are destructive. I recommend to meditate on how to have a higher respect for the circle of life and death and the balance it brings. As of discussing it with my I don't care to with such an aggressive and judgemental tone insulting me naming Dr. Phil as if he doesn't deserve respect for his understanding while he may not deserve much with what he does with it.

At this point I see your just spriuting of immaturity rather than having a healthy and proper discussion. Please if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Bleh. I'm drunk and your writing style is lame. Fuck the fuck off, sanctimonious twat (oh, not you of course. I was talking to someone else. I wouldn't dare insult the likes of you and get banned).

Nom de Plume; although i enjoyed your earlier writting style; currently this is is against the BLUA agreement you agreed to; we've also gotten off topic. what was about trip sitting is now a drama bomb.

so. please edit this simply because it's 1) against the BLUA to insult anyone regardless of "whom" you "aren't" insulting because it's disrespectful and out of line and 2) way off topic.

can we all hold the capacity to focus more on trip sitting? i'll give an example through my opinion in my next comment; this next comment will be more on topic and a better post for this discussion.

Honestly I would have wasted my time reporting your behavior in the past... Now I just see past it as well as the need to seek approval for my behavior just as you seek approval from yours by whatever reaction you see. The only thing I hope for myself if I remember of both of our choice to say what we want and hopefully I can keep myself from degrading into an upset angry drunk as you pointed out the last part while your language speaks for itself.

1+1=2... Just meditate on that one for a while. If not for me or yourself please why not out of respect to the philosophy of meditation. I do wish you the best in your journies Nom as I've seen you post for a while and I do feel truly was for you to have revealed the state under pressure as your have.

I also left you with that request for your sake not mine and you took that branch I reached out to you with instead of taking it and running you took the opposite path to try to hurt me. Why? I ask as I already wonder and one of those thoughts is do you as well in the present and future moments? Stay well brother or possible sister who the hell knows we are online....

Trip sitting: i believe it is important when using psychedelics to have a trip sitter. some may disagree; but i think it's not an inherant "rule" rather a general guide line many may find worth following.

it also depends on many things previously mentioned; the trip sitters experience, the trip sitters relationship with you, and a variety of other things that we all could think about in regards to trip sitting.

trip sitting isn't a science; it's more like an art. the reason why i consider it an art is because it's not like a science. science has stricter guidelines for carrying out certain methods. athough there are many approaches to trip sitting the act of trip sitting is very fluid and unique to the individuals involved.

the closest science i could compare trip sitting to is psychology or therapy.

everyone has their own preference.

A little superfluous with the vocabulary there, Nom De Plume. Reads like a dumb man trying to sound intellectual, not saying you are ;)

Buuuuurn. He is right though. Smart people say stupid things sometimes.

Take care brotherd and sisters

Why must every person who sounds smarter than someone else be ridiculed and derided, and their intelligence considered feigned and affected? Does it not seem likely that anyone could ever, at all, possibly, be, in actuality, smarter than yourself? Are you that stuck on yourself, mate?

Nom why are you picking fights? It's not productive. Please stop keeping alive the derailed tracks. Just because someone curitisizes what you have said it's not an attack on you plus we both gave you respect please do us the same.

Again, was not saying you are dumb, and in no way insulted your intelligence. However, one must learn to forgo using each and every word one has learned if they are to speak in the most comprehensible manner. Surely you don't see post #19 as the most efficient use of the english language? More advanced and complicated words serve the purpose of expressing slightly different concepts than a more basic word, expressing a more specific concept than a basic word, expressing a concept in a way that is in line with the context and subject matter of the situation, etc. They're used to better get across a point when necessary. Your use of advanced vocabulary, for the most part, served no such purpose in that post, instead did the opposite, and made the post even harder to read.

And this is coming from someone with quite the vocabulary and intellectual capacity.

Once more, no insult was intended. Simply a check to let you know that you went a tad overboard with the language.

Anent Psy997's post (comment #38 above):

I'm sorry. I misunderstood what you were trying to imply. I had thought you were making the tacit assumption that my choice of words was some contrivance or scheme cooked up with the intent of concealing my supposed stupidity and lack of knowledge under a guise of a large and educated vocabulary.

Though in my defense, I'm not sure how you can reasonably think such comments like the following make it easy to avoid this kind of misconception:

Reads like a dumb man trying to sound intellectual

However, one must learn to forgo using each and every word one has learned if they are to speak in the most comprehensible manner.

As early on as I can recall, it has been pointed out to me that my use of language is difficult to parse, turgid, verbose, tangential, and sounds stilted and pedantic.

However, it is incredibly difficult for me to decide which words to use or not use to avoid people having this negative perception of my language. I find the whole business—of determining if a word is too pedantic, a phrase too stilted or turgid, a speech or comment too lengthy and prolix, a discussion or monologue too circumlocutory and roundabout, etc.—to be immensely stressful and challenging.

What is a big word, a pedantic writer, a wordy comment, or a tangential explanation? It eludes me. It's similar to an 'I know it when I see it'-type thing, like pornography or a funny joke.

Surely you don't see post #19 as the most efficient use of the english language?

Yes, I do. I felt and still feel that the comment efficiently and satisfactorily expressed my thoughts, and that the words I had chosen to employ were not very difficult, rare, or recondite for the average Anglophone.

I apologise if my comment was hard to read; my intention was not deliberate obscurantism, but effective communication. I'm not trying to sound like some epigone or purposive imitator of Hegel, Kant, Marx, Heidegger, or Lacan. I just write an idea in a way that I think most accurately and precisely reflects the way I thought it.

I presume this is why so-called thought disorders are about abnormal speech, rather than thoughts. This is because the way a person thinks is most easily evinced and readily salient in the way they use language to communicate.

Word salad, for example, is a thought disorder most commonly found in schizophrenics and psychotics. It's a linguistic depiction of the extreme disorganization and very poor coordination effecting the thoughts and the cognition of a person with psychosis.

I appear to be personally afflicted with a number of these thought disorders. These thought disorders are formally termed:
Stilted or pedantic speech
Circumstantiality or Circumstantial speech
Flight of Ideas
Pressured Speech
Cluttered Speech, and
Tangentiality

Each of these thought disorders are earmarks of a number of psychiatric disorders, including narcissism, Asperger's syndrome, high functioning autism and other autism spectrum disorders, a number of neurodevelopmental disorders and pervasive developmental disorders, ADHD, extreme anxiety disorders, mania (as in bipolar and related disorders), psychopathy, schizotypal disorder, and so on.

Most of these thought disorders I've enumerated seem to relate in some way to an underdeveloped or nonexistent theory of mind, as the overwhelming preponderance of psychiatric disorders which they're connected to or comorbid with, such as psychopathy or autism, possess a diminutive or absent theory of mind as a sequela.

And this is coming from someone with quite the vocabulary and intellectual capacity.

Not to split hairs here, but the extent of one's intelligence is only modestly correlated with the size of one's lexicon. Consider the physicist Richard Feynman. After having heard him speak in numerous videos online and having seen his own writing in several books, I can say with confidence that Feynman's intelligence and education were both unbelievably out of proportion with his language skills. His vocabulary was unimpressive and his writing was ungrammatical. Yet, he was easily one of the 5 greatest physicists of the last 200 years.

Feynman's first marriage had ended in divorce. Amongst Mary Louise Bell's, his disgruntled ex-wife, complaints about him was:

"He begins working calculus problems in his head as soon as he awakens. He did calculus while driving in his car, while sitting in the living room, and while lying in bed at night."

Obviously, his intellect was impressive. But his proficiency with language could probably be surpassed by the average 10th grader.

By the way, one should take note of the incompatibility of the two notions presented here: a.) the size of one's vocabulary fails to provide a reliable or accurate indication of one's IQ or intelligence, and vice versa; and b.) speaking with an impressive or above-average vocabulary will give the impression of having an impressive or above-average IQ.

I am supposedly trying to sound intelligent by speaking with a large vocabulary. Therefore, I must necessarily accept the truth or veracity of notion B. But if one accepts notion B—that a sizeable vocabulary is capable of making one appear smarter than one truly is—they cannot simultaneously accept notion A—that one's vocabulary size does not provide a good or reliable indication of one's intelligence.

These two notions are mutually irreconcilable, because notion B contains the implication that smart people use big words, and thus using big words makes you a smart person. This embedded implication is diametrically opposed to notion A. Therefore, one cannot logically account for holding both notions at the same time.

Once more, no insult was intended. Simply a check to let you know that you went a tad overboard with the language.

Well, thank you for that entirely unsolicited, incredibly distracting, and unnecessary critique. However could I have lived without it?
