Either way, signalling your intent in this thread accomplishes nothing. Other than making you a potential future target for ridicule. In fact, that might be what snolly had in mind, come to think of it.

People can post if they want - all I'm saying is that it's a reversal of normal policy, and it might be in the best interests of applicants not to follow it. Though they can if they wish.

Tis just what I got told to do by the mods when I applied last year, so I posted the same thing in the recruitment thread this time round. But yeah, people can do what they want. I'd hope it won't take long to get everything sorted :D

Why not, the forum was dead & had to entertain myself somehow.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not really... any real change to my posting style the last two days has more to do with SSRIs starting to make my brain function properly here and there now I've switched to taking them in the morning.

I'm disappointed that you didn't explain what the initials 'SSRI' stand for, nor did you provide a link to a Bluelight thread about SSRIs.

It takes a long and hard time to choose the candidates that will be a great and knowledgeable and to add a positive vibe to EADD.
I remember when I was part of the team and it really does take a lot out of you, especially if real life is adding a great deal of pressure on you.
So if a lot of peeps have applied for the positions then jeeeeeeebus it's tough! 8(

And as for saying that you have applied in this thread, that's fine - It's when someone puts they're application "speech" in here that is not allowed.

I think that should be compulsory. Even if it served no real purpose it would be hilarious.

I also think they should require a nomination from at least one other member. To achieve that people could campaign for a nomination - put forward their manifesto, make wee posters, bribe folk etc.
