IME remarkably little drug knowledge is required. A good understanding is probably good in case people trust your advice more but I don't think it's essential. Mostly I think you just need to be good at communicating and being able to make consistent, justified decisions. That's helped by having a clear set of rules to enforce and an understanding of why they are there.

The PD staffroom has a bowl of stale cheesits but other than that the only payment is love

I think there's been a very good selection of names mentioned in this thread if you have a read through, there's probably at least 10 good very good candidates. Not that im a gambling man, but i would make scotchmist/chatative and SD favourites. Possibly if only because they are more well known and post more than some of the others that got a mention. Not sure if CH is seriosuly considering it or not but he would certainly make an impression: "All you cunts stop arguing now, or im banning the lot of you"

When I first moved into a flat with my best friend, he coined the term, p-space... as I way always losing guitar picks. They just vanished into thin air literally never to be seen again. (there was s-space for socks too.)

Perhaps there is an m-space, some quasi-alternate universe where the less fortunate mods disappear.
