In anticipation of our upcoming create-an-avatar competition, I am asking for someone who wants a new avatar to volunteer to sport the winning avatar from the competition.

Here is how it is going to work. You tell us what you are looking for in an avatar; the general theme, any colors or other features you want it to have, etc. Then, we take your request, and the contest participants come up with their own design following your specifications. We vote, and a winner is chosen. Then you, the requester, make the winner your avatar for a period of time we agree on. I'm thinking maybe a month or so, with the option to keep it as long as you want. It's negotiable obviously.

So if you want a cool avatar custom made for you by your talented fellow BL'ers, post here! Give us your specifications, and let us get to work.

Once we have a few contestants, we will choose one either by poll or by executive decision (me ), the contest will start, and soon you'll have your avatar.

Hm, TALLY called me 'the Bluelight Hermit' the other day, which I thought was both hilarious and accurate. I think that some sort of hermit-themed avatar might be good for me, since I haven't had an avatar since my old "Step on me, I go squish" avatar bit it.

But if someone has a better idea, I'd be game.

What I've always wanted was a heart (rather than a smiley face), probably wearing a zorro mask. If animated, I imagined X and O flowing from the background to the foreground - but that's just the image in my mind. I'd be content to leave it open to interpretation - if the contest targetted me as one of the wearers. Hell, I'd leave it open and just ask that it bear some reflection of my name.

it will be an ongoing weekly contest. each week a new person will get a chance to have an avatar made.

Yea i sized it too small and didn't want to start again. Its this little hooded demon with his hands out with the irish colors . I guess i'll re do it now.

I'd like a smiling face with a blunt hanging out of its mouth with a Yankees hat on. Some variation on the theme of happiness, blunts and sports. Giants helmet and a blunt would work too. Mouth could go from to XD if you wanna get fancy with animation.

In any event this is a pretty interesting idea. Can't wait to see what the talented peeps on BL are capable of.

i like my avatar as it is sort of spiritual and linked to acid. i also like fairies and imps, rainbow colours and generally anything happy, the triforce from zelda and stars kittens would also be welcomed. i'd really like an avatar that expresses how people percieve me though as i think that would be fun , so if i got chosen i give free reign to people to produce something either reflecting my likes or reflecting how they think i am.
