Cocaine Waking Up The Day After A Coke Binge Feeling *better* Than Usual

This is not an uncommon experience for me.

Often, I'll wake up the day after doing coke feeling better than I usually do when I wake up. And if I drink and do coke at the same time, it's like the coke will somehow cancel out the alcohol hangover.

This applies even if I got a terrible comedown.

Has anybody here here ever experienced this?

Could it be traces of coke trapped in your nostrils slowly being absorbed overnight or something?

It could be because the comedown is so fucking terrible that once you finally manage to fall asleep and wake up the next day, it feels great just to feel normal again.

Cocaine is very water soluble (well, the pure alkaloid), any "traces" in your nostrils would be negligible amounts unless you looked like Tony Montana with a rim of frosting on your nose.

The effects of cocaine w.r.t. alcohol consumption are well known, as are amphetamine's. Both these drugs generally make people feel like they can drink more without getting as sloppily intoxicated as they would had they been sober.

A likely explanation could be that on nights you go out partying, you sleep more soundly at night because you're relaxed and happy. Generally the after effects of stimulants don't make people super happy. And after a solid 6-8 hours of sleep, much of the drug should have been metabolised. (cocaine's half life is very short)

I have been getting this same shit and its worrying me. I am noticeably euphoric the entire week after a weekend meth binge, like 5 days, not even 1 or 2. I haven't been able to find the cause. I never got this from coke though, only recently with high dose meth usage.

Strangely enough it felt to me exactly like you describe it, like it felt good to be sober, like being sober felt really good, noticeably above baseline.
Unexplained euphoria like this makes me worry about bipolar and shit...

The only thing I can think of is that i pause my SSRI Paxil from Thursday to Monday so maybe taking it then gives a buzz as it resupplies depleted levels? I dont think it works this way though.

Also my anxiety issues have gotten much better lately so perhaps my brain levels have returned to normal and now with the paxil its going above baseline?

Soz to hijack but if somebody has any idea?

Yeah, speed leaves me feeling a little better for a few days afterward.

Interesting. Wonder Why it does that. Even though its good any effect so long after stopping usage doesnt sound good

It might be because it treats some kind of underlying condition.... like MDMA has been shown to help treat Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

I have drank a lot and done some coke with it. The cocaine seems to have sobered me up significantly as you describe OP

Yeah coke is great for sobering you up. I have tons of memories where the first memory of an evening out is staring down at a crusty toliet top having just done a line, no memories of the evening before that

residual stimulant effects combating the hangover?

Also alcohol + cocaine = cocaethylene - ethyl ester of the normal thing of cocaine metabolism (benzoylecognine)

cocaethylene is better at binding to the dopamine transporter making it more potent and ~stronger and has a longer duration of action....possibly extending up until you wake up.

Its also a better SNDRI than normal cocaine so the those reuptake effects might still be there in the morning - being responsible for your feeling good in the morning

I'm betting this is because of the euphoria (drug-induced as well as from simple camaraderie) experienced the night before.

i get this as well but for me its more about finally falling asleep and getting some rest... when i wake up im like "omg i forgot how goodd it feels to be sober, lol"

but no IMO keep up the coke binges and ill bet your next day experiences are not going to be as good...
