Hello, first I'd like to say that I have looked far and wide for a thread on this topic and have found one, but now one on how to stop/prevent this. I've been using norco for about 4 years. Every night when I go to sleep, i wake up every 3 hours like clockwork with really bad restless legs and upset stomach and sore throat and plugged nose. I never used to get the throat and nose part, that's new I guess and could be unrelated. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to make this stop happening? I just want to be able to get a good night's sleep :( Sometimes after I take 5mg norco after waking up, then I'll just be wide awake and can't go back to sleep until 5 hours late, and with work, etc, that's really impossible.

(which is why I'm up right now... it's 5:09am and I woke up at 3am in horrible withdrawal and took 5mg at 315 or so, and here I am....still awake...having only slept 3 hours and having to be awake by 645...sigh)

I used to have this happen and I stopped it somehow, I don't remember what I did, but I am failing at everything so far this time. Will I just need to stop dosing once I wake up and just deal with the withdrawals until I am allowed to take 5mg at 8am? I wont sleep for a few nights and the restless leg and sneezing is f*ing impossible to deal with. I can't stop moving and I can't stop feeling like I want a different body (hence my name).

Please help, this f**king sucks. I can't deal with getting no sleep anymore, I am always tired and in a fog and i just want to sleep! I took valerian root at night for a few days that allowed me to sleep 6 hours, but I am exceedingly exhausted the next day and I can't think for work. I've also tried Kratom which just dehydrates me and makes my heart beat 100 miles a minute and gives me a splitting headache the next day. Thanks for any info you can give, sorry this is so long! xo

I also forgot to mention how much money it's costing me. Also, the sneezing is out of control and I wake my fiance when I sneeze FOUR times in a row. The restless leg is the worst, I wish I could get my hands on some gabapentin, but I can't at the moment. Anyway thanks for all your help, x

Hey I just saw your thread and I know it's been awhile just hoping you are doing well in your situation. Insomnia is the absolute worst for me and when I withdraw I can't sleep for so many nights straight it is a complete disaster. I have tried every OTC sleep aid and all of them are worthless, I did have some success sleeping when I took some loperamide+ low dose DXM. It wasn't much sleep, just a few hours but it felt great to finally be able to pass out and not have to worry about everything constantly. I wish I had better answers for you, but I guess going to a doctor and getting some seriously strong prescription sleep meds will be your best bet. I had to wait it out, it took me about two weeks before I could sleep about five hours straight. And now I still wake up all the time and stuff it still sucks. If you check in here how are you doing now? Are things getting better?
