So far as all those things we think but cannot say...
You ever wake up and realize you never slept?
I'm not talking insomnia or the late hours you kept.
I mean the light goes on, somewhere in your head,
Suddenly you realize all the things you never said.
You held them in to save you, albeit against your will.
For lack of better judgement, these words live on to kill,
Your spirit, your smile, your happy-sunshiney day,
Suddenly all that's blue turns to slated grey.
You realize your silence proved a poor judgement call,
It wasn't your fault you say, blame the emotional wall!
Wall? Whatever! How high could it be?
So enormous, you believed, the top you couldn't see?
It wasn't that you failed, just that you never tried.
Your fear decides for you, "just keep that shit inside!"
Well, once your fear subsides and reasoning has returned,
You realize the past repeats itself, is there nothing you have learned?!
Fear is the devil and with the devil you have danced,
You'll never live without him unless you take a chance!
