I have been on a suboxone replacement wean-down program for roughly the past year and a half (used to use up to about 3g/day heroin at 5'6" and 120 lbs, if that is of any importance for background), and have been doing pretty well- minimal cravings, few other issues, etc. However, recently, someone with whom I live stole a fair few of my sub strips while I slept/sold them and left me utterly screwed for the 3+ days of strips he stole before my appt :(. He ended up getting me two OP 80s, which I took about 12 hours apart, 24-26 hours after my last strip of suboxone, and they helped me get through my day at work without my boss being a dick and firing me for "suspected drug use" (apparently it's zero tolerance, despite me not using anything but my subs for over a year before today), but has me stressing. Almost immediately after taking the second pill 30 minutes ago, I saw an email saying my doctor called in an "emergency" sub supply. I don't know if any of that changes anything, so I apologise if I am asking a re-worded version of a question asked a thousand times over, but when is the soonest that I can get take my suboxone again and leave this whole fiasco behind? I've always been able to take subs sooner than most people I know without precipitated WD (ex: always took it 8-10 hours after heroin and was fine, while friends were sick taking it 24 hours after while doing less h), but being in precipitated WD will make for a very, very bad suboxone checkup. Since I don't use OPs regularly, would my wait time be shorter than the typical 24-36 hours? Thank you to anyone who has advice to offer :D.

Again, thank you, and sorry for asking a question you've all heard. I very much appreciate any input/information!

(Summary for that novel: been on suboxone over a year, haven't really used anything else during that time before today, took two OP 80s in 24 hours, a day after last strip ran out. When can I take my suboxone again like normal?)

If you only used once, you'll most likely not have a problem just hopping right back on the suboxone. You've been taking it a while so it's built up in your system, so it takes more than just one day of using, especially at small doses, to mess you up and cause you to have to do another induction.

If you want to be on the safe side, just wait until you're in moderate withdrawal, and continue your bupe. You'll be fine. But if you keep doing this, especially if you go using for a few days in a row, etc, then you're gonna have a problem.

My experience with Opanas, the come down is immediate. To the point that if I tooted 5mg around 8pm at night, by the time I got up at 630 in the morning I was kicking like a mule. Tight chest, anxiety ect. 1-2mg sub, and all better. Yikes.

^^this.

If you still have bupe in your system, you won't go into precipitated withdrawal.
Therefore you should be able to take your sub with no issues

If that doesn't reassure you, then going by your previous inductions, you should be ok 12-18 hours from last pill taken.

You can always try taking just a little (say, 1mg) sub and wait a half hour or so to ensure no precip wd comes...if that would give you better peace of mind. If you start feeling bad, wait before taking more bupe. Most likely you'll be fine and you can then take your normal dose

And next time--find a good hiding place!!!!

I ended up waiting around 18 hours and was totally fine; you all really helped me minimize my anxiety today. I never figured I'd have to hide anything from my roommate, but I ended up thinking up five spots between which to divide my meds, AND got a cute little lock for my purse that quite belies its intended purpose, so hopefully I won't run into this issue again any time soon! Thank you so much, everyone! :)

I had my suboxone stolen once. It was this kid who was like a "brother" to me, and he was homeless so I let him live with me a while, one night I passed out high on xanax, and woke up, and I had a suboxone left until 4 days (I take 2 mg a day) and he took it, and then...the best is..I confront him he swears he didnt but "found a suboxone if id like to buy it". I almost called the police honestly...thats how pissed I was but I informed him he must leave my house NOW. And he did. It's fucked up. People dont realize when they take a sub they go "oh its one sub" but its actually someones SURVIVAL for 4 fucking days.....so I had to do H to not be sick, relapse, fail a drug test...get kicked off the program..al lbecause of one person. I never forgave him or talked to him again.

But glad it all worked out. You should inform your room mate you think its best if you went your seperate ways. Jusy my opinion.

Normal waiting time after opi is 12-24 h. It is up to your body how it takes it.
I use subutex i.v 13 yers. I have some info from this. Suboxone can be little different becouse of naloksin.
