(WA - Perth) Origin 2010/11 NYE

I'm still undecided really about NYE. Might end up going to Origin, does anyone know if tickets are selling fast or anything? Would hate to decide to go then tickets be sold out.

Got my ticket on NYE during the day for last year's Origin though I can see this one selling out because it's back at Belvoir Amphitheatre though, such a great venue. Love it.

Yeah no worries, that'll teach me to post while drunk. I'll be contacting everyone individually and in this thread with details once i have more info.
 
It's always possible but I don't know if the police would waste their time there when there'll be much bigger targets (eg. the city, NB)
 
That's the question i guess.... no one truly knows, I have my doubts because its pretty far away for them to set up camp and then hold hundreds of people on minor charges.
 
Never seen a sniffer dog at the previous "Origin's" I've been to, but theres always a first time for everything. Seen cops though outside the venue upon leaving. Though the venue was different last year, not at Belvoir like the two years prior to that.

The way the venue is (Belvoir), it'd be quite a hassle for police to bring sniffer dogs and check people coming in... it's too big, but do not take my word for it. They could very well decide to take a few dogs along this year.

Agreed with Puck, It's a bit big and far away for them to bother, but take caution. I'm getting off a party bus, so i assume i'll be targeted from the second i step off. Good laughs to be had there..

I'll try find a layout of the venue, what time did you guys think is the best to catch up maybe have a beer and a chat, doesnt seem like there are any breaks.... maybe the end of high contrasts set?
 
Well, Looking at the lineup, I don't think ill be going anywhere near the "Stage for the deep". I still have to figure out how the hell I'm getting to Origin, But as for the BL meet and greet, I was going to suggest why don't we meet in the first hour (5:00-6:00)?

Cause I'm pretty keen to see everyone else on the "Main Stage" except for the Local act (5:00-6:00), Killa Kella (6:00-6:45) and MC Dynamite (9:00-9:45). I think it's probably a good idea to meet up before we get to messy :P

That's my opinion anyway, What do you think?

Hahahah oh tr3jo what a quality post.

Is it fair to say there won't be public transport leaving the venue? Trying to work out how to get there and back is such a pain.
I'm all down for a meet up somewhere at Origin and make it a pretty memorable night.

And to the post about sniffer dogs: Trance Energy had like two fences where you walk through the gate, passed a sniffer dog and then you enter the next gate and get into the venue. This has been like the only time I've seen dogs at a festival.
