When I registered the captcha or w/e box asked me to spell "come deflated" hahahaha

I seen tons of poppies this year, and these pods I saw today looked to attractive not to pick. So are they from the opium papaver somniferum? Were they picked to early to dose?

If so, which one(s) are going into my tea tonight?

-Seeds are shaped like kidney beans but they're all white as hell for some reason. Unless that's normal, my ebay seeds iz brown-black-green.

I'm not real sure if those are active or even the right poppy. I know the traditional way to harvest morphine from the poppy plant is to just score the pod and let the latex trickle out and harden.

When you picked these did you notice any white milky discharge?

There was milk flowin out the bottom. Got all over ma pockets lol. Had to shove em in their cause I was in the middle of the towns garden, picking their poppies.

Also ya, can't score latex, that dried up already (6hrs) so you can't see it on the bottom of tha pods.

i dont think you can get opium with the pod off of the plant..

No, he cannot get opium, but if the latex flowed when he picked it, its a good sign that its the right kind.

As for the original question:

Perhaps you could do some light research on what the pods of different types of poppies look like. Then compare you pods to pictures.

If it looks good, try making a tea with a few and drink it slowly by the cup. Although I'm not sure if you need to dry them out first to make Pod Tea.

I got an almost perfect match from pics, but I just want to be sure before I pop 3 into tea and test it.
I have no knowledge on this tea stuff, and I'm a pothead lol, so I don't wanna end up messing shit up and pukin ornamental poppies (as pretty as that sounds)

Well, I does sound like you have the right pods. I'm still a bit unsure about if your pods should be dried or if fresh pods may be used for tea. I did however find this nifty FAQ about poppy tea:

http://www.poppies.org/faq/poppy-tea/

You may want to check it out. Please remember, if you are mostly a pot smoker, and dont use opiates often you will have a low tolerance. Start with small doses of pod tea, waiting ideally 1 hour before taking more if you feel the dose was too low.

go out in the towns garden and get pics of the living plants

to me, i say it could be, they seem to have that blueish tinge in certain areas that looks like it has been rubbed off either by your fingers or your pockets

but without pics of the live plants it would be hard to say for sure

Got some pics, all closeups though
It's Canada day, would be sick to try 'em today

I'll report back after dosing today fo sho. Gonna take nekos advice and sip it slowly.

Edit: Ya haha they had bluish stuff on the pods. I rubbed it off on some with my fingers, used to do that as a kid with these flowers.
