So we all know that vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is pretty much time released dextroamphetamine (once your liver metabolizes the L-lysine attached to it)

Over the last year of usage with this drug my friends and i have noticed that when we consume "high doses" of it, it feels almost exactly the same as if we took "SUPREME doses". little to no tolerance as well

for example last year when i would take say, 350mg (5 70mg capsules) i would experience a very stimulating amphetamine high like dexedrine or adderall except without the initial rush, it would last hours longer than it was supposed to (12-13hrs according to the makers).

several times we have taken 700+ mg all at once and feel just a little more Stimulated as lower doses (no lower than 280mg)

im really confused and kinda pissed that no profound differences occured, because in my mind when this crap changes into D-amph in the body shouldnt it add on to the effects ALOT?

i was told by a tweaker friend that after a certain ammount it "stops working" as they were told by someone else, however i cant find any info about this.

i know thats alot of vyv's but theres something up with this drug here if 3 of my friends get the same results

what do you think could be the cause of this?

I do not know the mechanisms, but I believe it may have something to do with whatever liver enzyme getting overworked and the Lisdexamfetamine passing through the liver unchanged after a certain point.

The Lysine can be cleaved in a solution outside of the body if you know some elementary chemistry and can get to a supplement shop, which is one solution.

Perhaps this is worth a read for you :)

hmmm interesting.....i heard some bland bs things like "put it in orange juice for an hour" and that did absolutely nothing. i am quite a good learner when it comes to chemistry and in fact only 300 feet outside is the health food store full of these supplements....could you elaborate on what i would need?

After reaching a certain dose it seems like taking anymore won't produce any additional effects.

There has to be some special reason for this, because d-amp does not have a definable ceiling, and this is d-amp with a lysine molecule attached. I can't really say why lisdexamfetamine would show a ceiling effect, but it would have to be physiological and not something taking place in the brain..

Wikipedia on Lisdexamfetamine:

Lisdexamphetamine (L-lysine-D-amphetamine; sold as Vyvanse) is a psychostimulant prodrug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. Its molecular structure consists of dextroamphetamine coupled with the essential amino acid L-lysine.

Wikipedia on L-Lysine:

Lysine is metabolised in mammals to give acetyl-CoA, via an initial transamination with α-ketoglutarate.

If α-ketoglutarate is what metabolizes lysine in the body, then it sounds sensible that soaking your lisdexamfetamine in α-ketoglutarate before consuming it for probably 24 hours or so should cleave the lysine molecule for you, leaving you with dex-amp.

i wanna do this so bad, but where the hell am i supposed to get this trypsin. it would pay off so much to conduct this experiement and further it more than what this other person did (ex: boil it down, purify it). i think i have about 4000mg of it total so i wouldnt mind trial and error at all

thank you for diggin that thread up for me
