hey all, i've been taking vyvanse for about 5 days now. I don't have a prescription, I've aquired some 50mg pills through my own means.
I have experience with dexedrine as well, went through a period of abuse last year. It's extremely hard for me to control my use with these drugs.
It was good at first (2-3days), I felt happy, confident, I could talk to people, get things done. The comedown is not good though, it wasn't like dexedrine where I had some mood swings throughout the day, but it was never to this extent. Now I don't even get any good effects from vyvanse.
I feel fatigued even a couple hours after taking it, I tried eating more, it helped after I had barely eaten for 3 days. But doesn't make a difference now. Yesterday I took about 50mg (I've been averaging 50mg a day, not all at once, I usually parachute about 20-30mg at intervals) and it didn't help me at school one bit. It's like im doing what I need to do but none of the information is staying in my head. I'm going through the motions but im extremely concentrated on my own thoughts instead of what I'm doing. Sometimes I'm processing information much too fast and my eyes are moving across a paper very fast but im not really looking at what im reading.
I'm failing my tests even though im studying. I get anxious and occasionally go on a verge of a panic attack when on it.
Are these side effects normal? I didn't feel like this on dexedrine. (Although I'm on accutane right now, and I'm thinking this could be contributing...) I have been feeling extremely depressed these past two days.
I dosed 30mg vyvanse about 1.5 hours ago and don't feel too different. It generally affects me quite fast.
I have also been taking .25mg of xanax to fall asleep, I am extremely sensitive to drugs (xanax can make me very euphoric)
Another question I have: do doctors ever prescribe ADHD drugs for people without ADHD?
Being on Accutane has made my mind feel extremely foggy, and I cannot concentrate one bit. This is why I went out of my way to purchase vyvanse. I don't see myself passing any of my courses without some help and I still have to be on Accutane for another 2 months. I don't want a long term stimulant prescription, just until the end of the school year.
If I explained my situation to my GP, would he consider something like dexedrine?
thank you for reading
