Im taking vyvanse 70 mg. Would it be safe not to take it every day? I normally take it for my job but when Im at home should I still take it? Hope someone can help me.:?

yea you should be fine just make sure its good and worn off before redose im trying 80 today a little worried but im sure ill be fine i have heard of ppl taking 300mgs at a time its really hard to die from amphetamines you might hallucinate a little and if that happens just try not to be alone or it may get scary.

Um, nmd was asking if it was safe to not take the Vyvanse every day, they were not asking if they should take extra. They wanted to know if they have to take it every day, even on the days they don't really feel they need it. Yes it should be safe to only take it as needed. There is no requirement to take it every day, or even to take your entire dose on the days you do take it. You could ask your doctor.

If you have been taking the 70mg every day for a long time, then you might notice some mental symptoms on days you don't take it, such as anxiety, depression, irritability and the return of the symptoms you were using it to treat. But it is not normally dangerous to not take it. It's actually good to not take stimulant meds on a daily basis and just take them as needed. Please note though that your tolerance to the medication may go down if you stop taking it for a while.

No, the OP was asking whether it would be ok to not take their Vyvanse, to which I explained that they may have some mental symptoms but it shouldn't be physically dangerous. You are asking a completely different question. I would not suggest you take 80mg for your first time. I would take 20-30mg the first time and see how it affects you. Do you have capsules or what? Are you taking any other drugs? Do you have a history of seizures or heart problems? The safe dose varies from person to person. When trying a new drug it's always better to take a "normal" dose and you can take more later if it isn't enough.

Juding by your use of syntax, it sounds like it's given you cognitive impairment. Try Aricept to combat this.

was replying to Apathetic_killer. Apathetic_killer, be well, and if you do have apathy, it's okay-- Aricept will likely combat that, too. =)
