Hey bluelight, I'm new to this website but far from new to ingesting drugs. But what i want to know tonight is this:

2 days ago i was scripted vyvanse 40mg for "severe" adhd. i start work at 7 and thats when i usually "dose". It works great until about 3pm, then i just feel like extremely unmotivated. What would you guys recommend me telling my doc to get something better or more of?

It's probably a good idea to give it more than a few days, but if you find that it's not keeping you alert and focused for long enough then mention it to your doctor. Reactions are pretty individual - other posters here sometimes complain about it lasting too long so everyone's different.

You're doctor will probably just bump you up to 70mg if you talk to him about this. The way vyvanse works, a higher dosage creates a longer lasting effects. I had the same problem and my doc bumped me up to the 70. It's definitely more effective, but after a while it still wears off sooner than you'd hope.
