Vyvanse doesn't last long enough?

Hey guys,

So I just got a vyvanse perscription of 30mg. I have taken and abused amphetamines for about 6 months weekly-ish, so I knew that vyvanse would work for me. I had a concerta prescription for 1 month before getting the Vyvanse one, but I only took it for a week because it made me absolutely miserable.

Anyways, to my problem:

I took the 30mg vyvanse this morning at about 6:45. The effects were pretty subtle, but what I did feel was great, as I expected since I have had numerous experiences with 50mg vyvanse pills. I could concentrate, my ADD symptoms were mostly relieved, felt my dysthymia go away, and I was just more productive and social.

Thing is, the Vyvanse wore off at around 3pm, and I need it to work until around 8pm. At 3, I just felt really hungry (ate some taco bell) and then took a 4 hour nap.

So, what do you think I should do? Would a 50mg last until night time? Or would I have to take a booster?
I know these pills are supposed to last around 12 hours, so I'm kind of pissed, especially since they are so expensive.

what, i have no clue what you are talking about. i have ADHD and i am very tolerant to vyvanse. i need atleast 90mg to feel it, and it lasts 15-18hrs for me. please dont talk about prices though!!! i suggest switching to dexedrine or generic addy (racemic amps) as they are much much cheaper.

again, i love vyvanse. even IR plugged adderall lasts 12hrs for me. the vyvanse is definitely working, just because you arent euphoric and the high fades away, doesnt mean that it isnt working. the vyvanse is prescribed for to cause stimulating concentration, not to get high..

3 things:

1) I am using my prescription to relieve my ADD symptoms

2) The effects I felt were great, as in the effects I received helped a lot, therefore were great. I didn't feel great, as in an amphetamine high. Not looking for that at all with my prescription.

3) I'm not bullshitting and not a freak, my metabolism is just fast.

For me it doesnt last very long either no matter the dose. I mean I will be unable to sleep for a long while on a high dose but I am only focused and productive a fraction of that time. I take it for ADD and if I take more than prescribed (only 40mg) I feel tired during the whole experience (but cant sleep!). For me 40 mg once a day is the only dose that works. I wait till later in the day to take it if I need to be functional late at nite.
