**I'm a new member and I just can't find anywhere where to delete a thread..??????? Help.
**I Reposted this one in which I believe is the right area.
Hello,
Before I start, I appreciate any responses given. This is my first time ever posting to a site like this!
I have been on Vyvanse, Clonazepam (Klonopin), Xanax (Alprazolam) and many different anti-depressants to treat my anxiety. I have GAD but is much worse. I also have ADD. I have had bad anxiety ever since I can remember as a very young kid and it has affected me throughout life. What other “normal” people felt, I did not. It’s not like a little here and a little there, it’s pretty much constant and it’s something I have had to try to just get used to, because it’s all I could do minus medication which is very good AND bad which I will be explaining more.
I started on Vyvanse, Celexa (Citalopram) and Xanax 0.5 mg when needed. Not sure if I started all of these at the exact same time but very close to each other. At this point I was feeling this sense of “WOW I FEEL NORMAL” with a positive mind and attitude and a lot less anxiety. As years went by doses went up due to tolerance.
Vyvanse went up to 60mg a day. Celexa went up (not sure exactly what it was but a gradual rise in mg) And xanax went to 0.5 mg a day. This went on for a couple years except I was trying many different antidepressants because nothing worked for me and was never sure if it was helping or not. Not exactly felt myself and was just unsure of how I really felt. My dose for vyvanse went up to more than what the recommended dose was for the medication. Over 100mg per day. I believe the highest recommended dose is 70mg. I was then or sometime around this either before or after I was put on clonazepam 0.5 2x Daily and got off the xanax. This was great for a couple months then felt I needed more to ease anxiety due to tolerance, I believe. I also completely got off my antidepressant gradually and told myself I never want to go on them again. I’m assuming getting off the antidepressant led to more anxiety but I still had anxiety on it as well. I have been off of antidepressants for over 6 months!
WHERE I AM NOW:
Vyvanse -120mg/ per day. Some days I take less but rarely. Vyvanse has gradually helped AND made it worse with my anxiety regardless of the dose. Even when it was lower dose. But as for my ADD I need a higher dose like this to even function, taking multiple 30mg per day. My doc said for some people on vyvanse, it may work better if taken one dose multiple times daily but is rare (not sure if it's true). Days without vyvanse I can barely function and want to sleep and eat all day and it’s a crappy time, depression kicks in. That is why I want to gradually lower my dose of vyvanse and eventually completely get off of it. HOPES. I have tried and it very hard to decrease my dose but am in progress.
Clonazepam- 0.5mg 2x daily. Helps for a little bit after about an hour after taking one 0.5mg. Sometimes I just take 2 0.5mgs together. It has helped wonders but now it wears off and the anxiety is right back at it.
That brings me to this.
I want to get off both of my medications and know it is not going to be easy, AT ALL. I KNOW I have to get off or find other medications but reguardless I want to be med free.
Right now, Reguardless of what other people think I should do because for me, going to my doctor, I don’t really enjoy and feel I will just be put on more drugs.
MY IDEA:
I want to gradually lower my doses with the help of different vitamins.
Right now I have:
DMAE (Help with ADD)
PANTOTHENIC ACID(HELP WITH ADD)
FISH OIL
GINKGO BILOBA
MUCUNA (velvet bean) (L Dopa) HELP WITH GETTING BRAIN RECEPTORS BACK TO NORMAL??
Magnesium
Multivitamin
Theanine serene with relora
I have done some research but taking all of these every day doesn’t seem logically good for your body especially when some say take for ex. 3x a day…
I am looking for any advice on any of this or any vitamins which are good for this type of thing. (ADD and Anxiety plus decreasing my medication doses.
Safe to take all of these vitamins together? Plus meds…? Seems like way too much going on.
Any help is 100% appreciated. Thank You!!
