Vyvanse being inconsistant?

Hello, SWIM uses Vyvanse recreationally quite often, and has recently taken a four-day tolerance break as a result of his tolerance getting too high. Two days ago, SWIM took 70mg of the drug and it worked as it should, with the euphoric high kicking in around 60-70 mins. Although today, SWIM took two 40mg pills, and here he sits, almost two and a half hours later, with almost no effect. Anyone have any ideas as to what might have caused this? Could SWIM's tolerance have shot back up that quickly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Was it possible you drank or ate something highly acidic or had and soda before dosing? Acid really messes with amps.
 
I was taking as much as 350-400mg daily. Tolerance builds quickly with stimulants. Please let this shit go man, it has ruined my life. I have never lived and hated something more in my entire life. Quit while you aren't too deep into it!
 
Thanks for the replies guys, SWIM definately plans to quit amphetamines very soon, although he did figure out that it was dehydration that was messing with him. As soon as he drank some water the pills kicked in as they should.
 
Vyvanse was inconsistent for me after 2+ years of use. I've read everything I could find and tried everything you can think of. It's just inconsistent, usually worked decent, sometime worked way too good, and sometimes nothing at all. With the same goddamn dose the whole time (I never developed tolerance). I don't know why. But it would stop working all of a sudden all the time and that's that shit I don't like.

EDIT: I am bipolar so my mood swings may have rendered Vyvanse ineffective or too strong as my body chemistry fluctuates endlessly.
 
Vyvanse is an unnecessarily complicated delivery system for a very simple drug (d-amp) that has proven therapeutic efficacy over eight decades. Shire lost their patent on Adderall XR and had Vyvanse waiting in the wings to take its place. But Vyvanse is crap. It is the most inconsistent XR med I have EVER taken, and I consider most XRs to be pretty inconsistent.

Well, it's basically Dextroamphetamine so it can't be that bad. Probably just doesn't have that smooth/clean feeling d-amp has.

That's what you think but trust me its not the same. I'm not talking about the high I mean it just feels like a totally different chemical. As my boy puts it Vyvanse is like speed-balling your racing one minute and the next your on the ground. Even during the duration of a dose there is a wide range of effectiveness. I have never had a harder time in my life trying to get consistent effects from a drug. And I still failed. Fuck Vyvanse. I took it for ADD not to get high so I can't have inconsistency. If I was just chasing a buzz I could deal with the varying effects.

I agree completely. Vyvanse DOES NOT feel like dextroamphetamine to me.

OP, here's the best kept secret in ADHD treatment.

Corepharma genereic dextroamphetamine ER is literally IDENTICAL to name brand Dexedrine Spansules for a fraction of the cost. They are an "authorized generic" manufactured in the same factory as Spansules. They are the same beads in a different capsule (but the capsule is still tapered just like the name brand).

If you want ER d-amp, forget Vyvanse and go with this product which has manufactured in the same plant in the exact same manner since the early 1940's and has proven effective for decades!
 
I find it works best when taken right after a snack or light meal, high in protein and healthy fats. When I do this it takes longer to kick in but its much smoother overall and actually lasts 6 hours or so
