Vyvanse (adhd meds)

I have two vyvanese pills. 30 mg each. But i tried just taking the same amount yesterday and i felt it wasnt enough. I know snorting wont help, but what if i break open the pills and dissolve it in water or something? Would it hit my system faster?

P.S. wasnt sure which prefix to use. So if its not right i apologize.

Vyvanse is lisdexamphetamine, so I would assume you used the correct prefix. It's a pro-drug for dextroamphetamine.

The active drug itself is an XR formulation in this case so dissolving it in water and chugging will only help but so much. Try taking a day or two off before taking more, then you'll get the original effects more fully.

No, its a pro-drug so unless you separate it from the l-lysine so its just d-amphetamine alone, its not going to make a difference.

I dont take this daily, i took 90 mg on tuesday and it was great. Hadnt done it in a long time. Then i took 60 mg the next day and it wasnt even half of what i got the day before. Tolerance maybe? Seems so soon. How long do you suppose i should wait?

*sigh* dosent look like theres really a way to increase its potency. Guess ill just wait for my tolerance to drop or save them for finals or something. Thanks for the help, you can close this now.

yup thats the thing with vyvanse. shire did a good job making it a pro drug. theres a way to seperate the lysine from the dexamphetamine you could search that as ive forgot how. but yeah if your going to take it 2 days in a row youve got to up your dose to even get the same effects as the day before. yes wait a few days to drop your tolerance.

Vyvanse is indeed a pro-drug, as has already been mentioned. You just have to use it orally.

Amphetamine tolerance does grow rapidly, so taking some time off will help you out a lot.

Baking soda and adhd meds?

So, was reading some stories on here. I have 2 pills. Brand is vyvanese. 30 mg each. Apperantly eating baking soda can help increase potency??? Can anyone confirm this?

The baking soda method only works on Adderall and Dexedrine IIRC. I'm going to re-open and merge this with your other Vyvanse thread.

right theres really no way to poteniate it like adderall and others. i have tried both baking soda and anta acids, like tums, and it did not effect it noticibly.

i find taking it on an empty stomach does the best (as with most pills). i heard using something that breaks down enzymes like trypsin makes it just dexamphetamine.

Take magnesium to lower tolerance.

You should only expect to get half of the feeling if you took 60mg the day after you took 90mg.
