Vt. farmer crushed cop cars with tractor

Glad you guys approve of the antics that comprise my territory's "breaking" news.

The story is sad, but really funny at the same time.

Whenever Vermont makes it into the mainstream media, it always seem to be for some offbeat, oddball goddamn-hippies-get-off-my-lawn kind of reason.

Normally i would agree and i certainly wouldn't grieve over a few dead pigs but in this case it would have caused a backlash from those people who are kind of on the fence about the whole matter. This guy made the cops look like morons and he smashed the fuck out of their cars and since noone got hurt he looks good.

A similar thing happened here in my area where a guy in a standoff made the RCMP look like complete fools. He managed to slip past atleast 50 officers including snipers and make a run for it. It was not until the next day that the cops busted into his house and found that noone was home =D . He did turn himself into a different police force who where rather quick to distance themselves from the whole incident :D . He did have guns and did shoot a police robot but this guy was well liked in the community and the cops where not so it would have really made people hate the police had they killed him. Needless to say he got fucked in court after :\
 
While yes, the tractor that ran over the cop cars in Vermont can have eight wheels, and has 4 driven "wheels", this isn't the sort of "eight-wheeler" configuration I was thinking of. It's a standard layout tractor, with the nose, cab, and rear axle all on one piece. My definition of "eight wheeler" usually involves a couple extra horsepower and an articulated joint between the cab and rear axle, like this

Why do these pictures of tractors keep getting meaner and meaner? That green one looks feckin massive! Guess today is the day I learn about tractors..

How fast do these go? I Find it hard to believe police oculdn't just run after it... i'm making a guess at like 5 mph or something?

Even the giant mean green one will do at least 30mph... and its not that simple to climb up onto one thats parked... much less moving and trying to run you over...
