- Working in a stout former bank building with windows closed and air conditioners humming, Orleans County sheriff's deputies didn't know what was happening in their parking lot until a neighbor called 911.

A man on a big farm tractor, angry about his recent arrest for resisting arrest and marijuana possession, was rolling across their vehicles - five marked cruisers, one unmarked car and a transport van.

By the time they ran outside, the tractor was down the driveway and out onto the road.

With their vehicles crushed, "We had nothing to pursue him with," said Chief Deputy Philip Brooks.

Thursday afternoon's incident ended when city police in Newport, the county seat of the northern Vermont county, caught up with Roger Pion, 34, a short distance away.

No one was injured. At least two deputies had gone inside a few moments before after washing their vehicles, officials said.

"Nobody was hurt. That's the thing everybody's got to cherish," said Sheriff Kirk Martin.

He really did a number on those cars.

Guess the cops will just have to seize his tractor and use it to crush cars they don't like. But that's OK, because they're cops.

Anyone arrested for possessing a PLANT has a legitimate grievance.
He didn't hurt anyone, and he got revenge, though someone less passionately involved might have told him that the cops will ultimately get revenge on him. They don't play to lose. They are typically arrogant and violent, and they are always very powerful, so messing with cops is generally a very bad idea.
While I was happy when I first saw this news, I feel bad that they guy is probably going to jail for a long time now.

A farmer angry over a recent arrest surprised police in Vermont on Thursday by driving his tractor over seven parked police cars before driving away. Roger Pion, 34, had been arrested last month for resisting arrest and marijuana possession before rolling his farm tractor across their vehicles, demolishing five marked cruisers, one unmarked car and a transport van, police said. 'We had nothing to pursue him with,' said Newport Chief Deputy Philip Brooks, who went outside to see seven of his fleet's 11 vehicles destroyed.

Working with their windows closed and air conditioners humming, Orleans County sheriff's deputies said it was a neighbour’s call to 911 that alerted them to what had happened outside. By the time officers were outside, the tractor was down the driveway and out onto the road.

Fuck damnit! I would pay to see a bunch of dumb cops to come to that conclusion after that mayhem. "Woo hoo lets saddle up and get this crazy MF'er boys..!", "Uh sir,....he crushed all of vehicles we could pursue him in!", "Damn....":(. I really have to wonder though? How fucking loud where those AC's a hummin' in order for these guys not to hear their cars getting smashed to shit outside?

that is too hillarious for words, the fact that the police were quoted as saying they couldnt go after him because they didnt have any vehicles lol. must have been a big ass farm tractor, like really big to be able to roll over the tops of the cars without toppling over. i would have gone with a front end loader myself and just flipped all the cars and tore out the guts with the bucket. All because he was arrested for having marijuana and as far as resisting arrest, cops love to throw that one on there. a friend of mine got tackled by a cop and out of reflex made a kicking motion when he was on the ground and they charged him with assault on a police officer. for every one decent cop there are like 20 who suck balls.

I just posted on facebook, how to remove a boot from your car.... 10 mins later i get pulled over and the cop tells me ots illegal not to have a front license plate... i said i do its right in the middle of the bumper and started to open the door to get out and show him.... he smashed the door shut on me and yelled at me to stay in the car of i didnt wanna be arrested for resisting an officer... said i can get out and check it after he leaves... wrote me the ticket.. and left... then i got out just to doublecheck and sure enuf theres the plate rite where i thouht.. :(

I read this on FB earlier today and it certainly made my day. This guy is awesome and a inspiration to us all. I would have killed to see the look on the faces of those pigs when they saw that their cars where smashed to fuck and they couldn't chase after the guy =D

Although he will prob serve a long time for this, i would like to think he will at least not have that hard of a time gaining enough respect to survive amoung his inmates.

Also i agree with the poster above me its def extra aubsurd and hillarious the article mentions officera had just finished washing their cars.

I very much doubt that he will have any trouble gaining respect among inmates. The entire inmate population of the prison should bang on their cell doors in a show of respect as soon as they bring him in.

Fuck yeah! Roger Pion is a fucking badass! He's my hero. It's nice to see someone taking direct action against tyranny.

I bet the whole jail started cheering when he was lead in.

None of the articles I've read about this incident mention the make an model of the tractor. I'm guessing it was an eight wheeler, judging by the width of the damage.
