"Are you ready to experience the future of digital pleasure? Simply attach the clips to your earlobes, turn on, and trip-out! Experience feelings of inebriation, psychedelic visuals, extreme relaxation, floating sensations, intense endorphin releases, all culminating in a relaxed yet alert euphoric state. It's a completely electronic drug-like experience and it's entirely safe, legal, and beneficial in so many ways!"

well this forum is OTHER drugs, so maybe this counts.. maybe this is a music forum thing though
music in the right state can do some amazing things for ya, try Ray Lynch sometime
from your description, maybe psychadelics? ;)

From the description on the site it seems to send electrical impulses into your body/brain. Pretty freaky, if it does half the stuff it claims it's probably a really cool addition to a trip!
Imagine tripping your balls off and then hooking yourself up to some electric machine designed to create strange sensations.... doesn't sound too bad does it? :D

you can get programs like this online to replicate teh machine
from what ive seen, OOB experiences can be had by had by playing 404hz on one ear and 400hz on the other. it makes a 4hz sound playing and that supposedly makes ur brain do these crazy things

Ive had lots of funb tripping while using my 'mind machine'. It a device that has led lights on a pair of sunglasses which alternates frequencies along with audio pulses that come through headphones. It produces beautiful patterns which really enhance your trip. I imagine this thing could help a trip but not produce one. It cost about the same as this thing.
IMHO: You would at least wanna smoke some herb before trying this thing

I actually got one of these things specifically for tripping, they said it will be here in another week. It is either a TENS or CES unit, do a google search if you want to find out what the boxes really do. That sight is a load of crap, from what i've read all the box does is give you a relaxed mood and some flashes in your vision.
i think that would be fucking awesome while you're tripping (or any other high that enhances your senses)

Damn, I thought I was the only one who had ever heard of it and I just put it to the back of my mind... never even considered mentioning it here. I wondered the same thing about the voodoo magick box (ridiculous name, though, isn't it?)
EDIT: Oh, I first read about it in an advertisement in 2600: The Hacker Quarterly (It seems like it belongs in that kind of mag.) I really didn't give it much thought, the first thing that popped into my head was those mail-order X-Ray glasses in the back of a comic book... fun to fantasize about, bullshit to buy. Hehe.

I just "hooked-up" to the voodoo box for the first time (I still am). It gives you a relaxed, heavy sort of feeling. You also get these little flashes in your vision.
I will tell you how this thing is while tripping after this weekend. I wonder how long this relaxed effect will last after i turn the box off

Lets see.... ok, tqke an extension cord and strip it so the negitive and positive wires are exposed, attach each toalagator clips and clip each to various places on your body... plug in for similar effects...
Seriously, I'd rather spend my money on "real drugs" ..
//p

I bought a voodooomachine a couple of months ago, and for me it doesnt do shit. The only thing I have felt is a metallic taste in my mouth, and if I crank it up to max, "flashes" in my eyes.
Save your money and buy some real stuff instead, thats my advice !
(Anyone wanna by a used voodoobox ??? ;) )

Ok the 400/404 thing isn't just going to induce OOBE experiences. If you meditate while listening to the right frequencies it will bring you to a state of mind where achieving OOBEs are easier. If you really interested in OOBEs, check out www.bwgen.com They have a program that will use binaural frequencies for meditation, headaches, studying, sleeping, OOBEs, etc.

dont know about this particular unit, but i have neen trying a cranio-modified derivative of a TENS device...the thing does much more than give you pretty "visuals" and OOBEs......

::cough, cough::bullshit::cough, cough::
Honestly the only thing that I've seen that can alter brain function are transcranial electromagnetic stimulation devices, in which a strong electromagnetic field is pulsed from a device place over various spots on the head. This is far different than simply passing a current through the head, and in fact the only things that I could see a device like this magic box do is maybe stimulate some of the cranial nerves and the nerves associated with balance found in the inner ear. This may result in some weird sensations and/or disorientation, so it may feel slightly like being under the influence of something, but I doubt it's going to actually be anything recreational or even mildly entertaining.
