hey guys.its been a long time since I posted in one of my favorite websites on the Internet. I have been addicted to opiates for about 2 yrs now and recently started taking suboxone during the period of withdrawal before payday. I make a nice living, and work a ton of hours (one reason I don't post enough anymore) but it doesn't matter. I'm not paid hourly because I'm on salary, but get Chinese overtime like an extra 5 bucks an hour for every hour over 40. anyways working all those hours is very draining, this you have the desire for an escape. I also use opiates at work when money is plentiful.

so recently I have started taking about 1 mg of bupe per day. I've been going back and forth for a few months and surviving for a week on a cheap little strip with minimal discomfort makes it hard for me to not partake. so yesterday I worked 7 am to 7 pm. it had been 24 hours since I had taken about .75 mg ... the dose have me a short buzz and I got very sick. I threw up all day long but somehow was able to make it through my shift without anyone even noticing.

last night a friend gave me four roxy 30's seeing how I was sick. I consumed them over the course of the night, with very little discomfort. well today was payday and I picked up "my script" - roxy 30 mg x 25... I used about 100 mg before work which is a common dose. I also ate 8 Watson 853 10 mg hydrocodone 325 acetaminophen .

Today at work I was violently ill. I was vomiting blood and only made it about 7 or 8 hours of my shift. I'll see a doctor tomorrow. has anyone ever had this issue. I have used HC upwards of 200 mg ( high amounts of acetaminophen which concerns me greatly) frequently in the past. please help

thanks, triz

Ok, first off, the acetaminophen is what is most likely causing this issue. If you're going to frequently use high dosages of hydrocodone, please do a CWE first. It's not a time consuming process and can end up saving you years of your life, expensive trips to the doctor, and your overall liver and bodily function capabilities. If you consumed any alcohol with the watsons, this could've contributed to the effect of the bleeding, and overall nausea caused by the opiate intake could also be exacerbating the actual vomiting itself. Get yourself checked out and stop using hydro combined with NSAIDs or blood thinners without CWEing them first, for your own safety and well-being.

This is 6550 mg's of acetaminophen at the very least @ (325) per pill.
extremely dangerous !

thanks for the replies. I have been stressed out about the frequency with which I used high amounts of acetaminophen in hydrocodone. I know it's dangerous in the short term, acute toxicity is very possible at higher recreational doses. I am curious as to the long term damage from this abuse for roughly a year, thank god for heroin and roxies. so a couple times a week for a year and at much, MUCH lower doses and much less frequently for 2 years leading up to the year I used heavily.i occasionally did perform CWE but I'm mad at myself for being so careless and inconsistent. I am staying away from NSAIDS for the time being.

thanks, triz

OP, from what you posted it seems like you're saying you were puking the day before you took the hydro/apaps? If so, that would suggest that maybe the acetaminophen isn't 100% to blame....Opiate abuse normally won't make you puke blood...

vomiting blood=go to the doctor!

A long time buddy of mine was in the same boat 10/500 Vics' he lives nearly off the grid & thought if he only ate 1 every couple hours, for 16-18 hours a day it wouldnt hurt him...(I know) I warned him.
10 years later he waited till dire straights to go in for a hernia operation, the Dr. told him his liver looked like it had been wasting away for quite some time, and was barely 30% functional. It took him about 18 moths to get it back up to 70%.

actually I had taken hydrocodone 2 days in a row, threw up 2 days in a row with fresh (not dried) blood on the second day. today I used only Roxie's , roughly 240 mg, smoked a gram of hydroponic marijuana. I didn't get sick today's

it is encouraging to hear that your liver can recover in some fashion. I will perform CWE's from now on. I plan on visiting a doctor soon and i have sarted getting rid of the hydros (waaaay too many lol) for some heroin, oxycodone, actiq, and dilaudid.

On the bright side, if you were vomiting a lot or very forcefully the blood can simply be from irritation of your esophagus from the vomiting itself. Was it a lot of blood or just streaks of it in your vomit? Generally if you were to actually have a serious bleed from further down in your GI tract the blood would actually look similar to coffee grounds not just red fresh blood. I would say it is most likely irritation from the vomiting itself.

I will also say liver failure is nothing to play around with. Yes, sometimes it can get better but I have also known of people going into acute liver failure from one escessive dose of APAP. It can happend. So please make sure you do CWE each and every time!

^I was kinda thinkin that....the repeated vomiting alone could cause blood, just like constant shitting could cause blood...bit different than intestinal bleeding or a hole in your stomach, but nothing to dismiss in any case....

I'm not an idiot but I'm not a doctor either...puking blood for more than a day should be looked at, imo
