Vivitrol with minor habit

hi I'm not sure if this is in the right place but I've been shooting heroin the last 3 days after 2 months clean on vivitrol. I don't wanna shoot dope anymore I just slipped up and wanna give myself another shot vivitrol ASAP I don't really have a habit but was planning on doing the shot tonight or in the morning I did heroin last around 7 pm it's now 9 and I was thinking of doing the shot at midnight smoking some weed and popping a benzo to try and sleep. Terrible idea should I just try and make it another day clean or go for the shot ASAP? Will I become horribly sick if I do it tonight. Not sure if people will see this in time to help with the situation but it'd be pretty cool to get some opinions
 
Personally I would postpone the shot.

ETA - will write more tomorrow, but I wanted to give you a quick answer. Wait a day or so if possible.
 
Thanks I will wait until tomorrow night but can't postpone it any longer I'm moving states and need this taken care of before I arrive to my new home. Not a great look coming home high or sick :/
 
Depending on how much H you used, if you take the shot tonight you may experience minor precipitated withdrawals. Their intensity is dependent on how much you used in those three days, but fortunately it was only three days. The heroin should be out of your system in 2-4 days, again this is variable and the quantity used will determine how long it persists.

I commend you for taking Vivitrol and having a desire for sobriety. Vivitrol saved my life and I have two years clean because of it. It sounds like you have a lot going on right now, but I urge you to try to figure out what is motivating you to use and work towards getting a handle on that. I think that's the best way to break the addiction cycle. Good luck on your move and good luck on your sobriety. If you have any questions or need to vent feel free to hit me up. Take care!

This is paramount to having a decent recovery. If you do not work on the problems you will always find yourself with a problem using.
 
So I didn't do the shot the other night and ended up using again. The withdrawals have become much more severe I need to do this shot to get off dope I'm just petrified of the precipitated withdrawal I know it'll be over in a day or so but damn I've done that a couple times before and it's really rough.
 
Try to put as much time between the heroin and the shot but your going to go through withdrawal if your physically dependent on opiates again. Physical withdrawal happens extremely fast once you have previously had a habit as you are now experiencing. I think you should discuss what is going on with your doctor. That's why your paying him after all even though many of them are assholes who just give shots for a couple hundred bucks a pop. Have you thought about a quick trip to detox followed by another shot? Its your best option I think if you want to continue this treatment plan.


But yeah its time to admit you relapsed and seek help again otherwise I think your going to spiral deeper into the heroin again. whatever happens please remember that your tolerance has dropped and the vivitrol has made you very susceptible to an overdose!
 
Due to the situation it is paramount that the relapse remain secret. I must stay with my parents to deal with some epileptic medication adjustments. They were already hesitant to help me so if they knew I was getting high it would be over. I have a 22 hour train ride today last use was almost 24 hours ago really low quality stuff. Other than the runs I feel alright. I have some clonidine seroquel and a clobazapam to get me through detox (a housemate is a walking pharmacy). I highly doubt I'll need all that but a positive mindset and knowing it'll be over soon will make it a breeze. I've decided to give it about 5 days before the shot precipitates withdrawals are the absolute worst feeling I have experience. Thanks for everyone's replies and support.

Good luck my friend. The fact you are making the changes necessary is a huge feather in your cap.

Eventually honesty will be your best policy.
