2 things. Found out on the weekend that apparently vitamin C and E dont mix well. The Vitamin C wipes out the effect of MDMA like some Vitamin B does with Trips.
Anyone care to comment?
Also Central Station in Sydney is selling cheaper versions of test kits. For 6 bucks you can get a kit which tests only 2 pills. The bottle has enough for about 3 pills easily but it doesnt have a dropper on the lid so you have to be very careful. But hey, if you are not buying regularly...

Vido.
Release Sarah Tonin! Release Sarah Tonin!

$6 for 2 pills
$25 for 200 pills
I know I haven't been to school for a while, but my maths isn't saying "cheaper".

Ah well, if you're a casual user...

Vido,
The vit C is helpful in removing oxidants from your system- the type that cause neurotoxicity included- which is why it's really good to take after a roll. I don't know whether it would help to take before or during...

Personally I don't believe that Vitamin C has any deleterious effects on the MDMA experience. I've taken Vit C pre- and post- and found no drop in intensity or duration of the MDMA effects.

er can you give a reference to the medical journal or scientific study where you learned this?
hearing from a mate down the pub doesn't count

ive been told vitamin C helps by increasing
neurotransmitter production in the brain.
The MDMA experience is largely caused by your neurons firing rapidly and releasing
serotonin & dopamine. So chow down on ya 5htp and vtamin c's and u should find u have a better role.
my 2cents anyway

Vitamin C IS an anti-oxidant.
It removes dangerous free-radicals by allowing the radicals to OXIDISE them and not your neurons. (a crude description)
Sorry for being picky but it is an important clarification.
Vitamin E is actually a more powerful anti-oxidant than C so in theory should be better.
Although Vit C is good to take with 5-HTP so kills two birds with one stone i guess.

the ez testers at central station in brisbane are $50
are they the same ones and we are just getting totally ripped off?

Vido I have used citric acid to bring down someone who was freaking out after taking amphetamines.
I had been told it was effective in bringing you down quickly. It appeared to have a good effect however I have no idea if scientifically it works.
Perhaps this is what you are getting confused about as you can also used concentrated OJ to do perform the same thing.
It's not the vitamin C that has the effect, it is the citric acid.
Does anyone know anything more about the use of citric acid to bring you down? I would like to know more about it.

vitamin c and its effects on people taking drugs?
one word: placebo
but if it helps a person out of a bad spot then it's just as valid as anything else.

Hmmm citric acid cycle getting a kick start to.... degrade neurotransmitters? I dunno

tidygirl - There are two brands of test kits available in Oz. The ez-test and the E test.
The E test is local made, and that's a major reason why it's cheaper.
I don't know whether the cheaper one is available in Brisbane, tho I'd be suprised if it isn't. Try contacting the manufacturers [email protected] for details on retailers.

Actually, they don't need your support at all, but give 'em money if you like (for facts, see Johnboy).

Drugs are the answer, now what was the question?....

tidygirl, they are $50 in sydney too

I TOLD B it was a bad idea calling them 'E' tests (too close to 'EZ Test'!!)...
..anyway, the imported foreign jobbies (EZ Test) are $50 retail, the Australian product (E) is just $21 over the counter...they look VERY different, so once seen, you shouldn't be confused again..
