Seems like no matter what I take, I never really get the "visuals" that other people describe. I get a kind of fuzziness around the edges of my visual field, and enhancement of bright colors, but never the morphing, patterns, rippling, or other weird stuff that everyone else gets to enjoy. You could say take more, but I don't want to be completely incapacitated by the substances' other effects. :) What's wrong with me?????

What kind of substances are you taking? Some are much more prone to visuals than others. I usually get closed eye visuals exclusively. Have you tried laying down and closing your eyes and putting on some music?

Yeah, I think of visuals as an effect that occurs when I try to fight an experience. The harder i fight it and try to regain my normal self, the stronger the visuals get. Not getting visuals may just be a sign of understanding yourself to a higher extent than those who experience visuals, although i could be wrong.

For me there is a difference between visuals (like color enhancement, sparkling, auras, trailing etc) and hallucinations (seeing demons, watching things morph/melt)
