Visiting west coast of US

I will be visiting the west coast of the US from the 10th of July until the 20th of August.

I was wondering what the rave/bush doof scene is like there?

I don't live out there, so this is just my assumption. There has to be some rave scene in LA, San Fran and probably Phoenix. As for the bush doof (had to google that term, btw) I'd think there might be some places for that stuff anywhere from the bay area in SF up to Seattle, but obviously partciular places are more popular for it. Arizona must have some kidn of outdoor rave scene, too, but gotta late at night, cause its damn hot there at this time of year.
