So one evening I decided I wanted to trip on some DXM. Started off with a dose of about 700mg.. it was a standard trip, nothing in particular to note. I tripped all night and in the morning I decided to redose so as soon as the stores opened I got some more. I took about 450mg that morning and continued tripping into the afternoon. By 3 PM I started coming down I didnt sleep for well over 30 hours by then and havent ate nearly 24 hours, I just wanted to go to sleep, but couldn't so I decided to go to the gas station and get the cheapest alcohol I can afford. I got 2 40 Oz. of malt liquor. I drank about one of those 40s. Next thing I know, I wake up on my couch with a man resembling Jesus Christ looking down at me. I immediately freak the fuck out and jump out of my couch and hear this noise like someone is playing drums in the house. I felt delirious and very disoriented for a few minutes, but then my sense starts coming back. There was nobody there and no one even in the house to be playing drums. I look over at my table and see i drank a 40. I remembered drinking it, but I didn't remember passing out on couch or anything. I look at the clock only about 90 minutes passed since i came back from the gas station with the 40s so I wasn't out very long. I didn't feel drunk or the dxm when I woke up. The jesus figure looked like a real person thats why I flipped out when I saw it. Only times I saw very real hallucinations like that was from deliriants like DPH or datura, but this felt even more real then deliriant hallucinatins.

that was most likely a combination of the dxm the 40 oz and not sleeping that long the fact that you just woke up might have something to do with it ive seen strange shit after just waaking up from triping and not sleeping for a long period of time

Have you considered the possibility that your experience was not a hallucination at all?

I'm not religious or anything. Maybe that day I died in some parallel universe and Jesus brought me to this universe haha.

I am not joking at all. I do not want to turn this into a religious discussion, however my belief system leads me to consider the possibility that after the OP consumed 1.15 grams of dextromethorphan, then to combine it with alcohol could very well have brought him close to death.

DXM is not known for causing very prominent open-eye hallucinations.

people see god on drugs .... its notthing new

its rare though ...... people who see this are very lucky <---consider yourself this :P

He also hadn't eaten or slept in thirty hours, that kind of sleep deprivation on its own can cause hallucinations and so can going without food.(think about it, Jesus tripped in the desert because he fasted:)) So in conclusion:
DXM+lack of sleep+lack of food+alcohol=JESUS

It's in your mind. I can't remember what its called but maybe someone else will know. Most ghost sightings are when people are just falling asleep or just waking up. Seeing as you were just waking up and you had been sleep deprived with drugs there is a good chance you wern't fully awake when you opened your eyes. When you freaked you awoke and everything was gone. Every now and then I sometimes fall asleep with my eyes open and have conversations with friends in the room. They seem as real as life but in an instant il wake and there will be no one there.

It's quite common.

yep. i've also seen people sitting on my bed when waking up after a salvia session. being half awake can do that to you and having residual drugs in your system certainly helps.

Praise Jeeesus. Did the jesus looking figure have any sort of posture about him? Like humbled, serious, casual, etc. Also what religious system, if any, were you raised in? Perhaps christianity.?

When I opened my eyes I was facing upwards toward the ceiling the Jesus figure was just kind of leaning over and staring down straight at me. I can't recall facial expression or anything I got really scared. Also, I was raised in a Catholic family.

static_mind, I believe what your talking about is sleep paralysis. I've had that happen to me as well, but this experience was different slightly. I was able to jump out of bed and was still delirious as I was standing up, while during sleep paralysis you are immobile during the hallucinations.

i don't think he's talking about sleep paralysis. at the edge between waking and sleeping reality very strange things can happen. i've also seen full on lsd-like patterning and melting walls once while getting up which faded to nothing in 10-20 seconds. these phenomena are usually a lot more pleasant than sleep paralysis.

Interesting.. do you know what this phenomenon is called?

That was after forty days. Not twenty-four hours.

You ever gone a day without eating? That amount of time on its own without food may not be enough to cause full hallucinations, but with the other contributing factors that I mentioned before, I think it would be very much possible. And I highly doubt that Jesus actually went forty days without food, the number 40 is just one of those "magic numbers" througout the Bible. But then again, I'm assuming that you're some kind of Jesus freak Biblical literalist so you just keep on thinking that way.
