Hey guys

I'm already quite short sighted and wear glasses but I'm sure my vision has become significantly worse during the 4 days I've been on the methadone program. Now disinguishing detail on road signs and anything in the distance is really difficult, especially at night. Has anyone else had this problem? Typically Im supposed to be getting new glasses and had decided on getting my eyes re-tested for the first time in nearly 10 years this week, I'll talk to my doctor and the optometrist when I see them but it's left me in a bit of a pickle.

Maybe your dose is too high. When I first started I was on 15 mg because everything higher was making me nod out. I couldn't read a book without closing one eye. Things were blurry.

I dropped my dose from 40mg to 25 and it seems to be helping a bit but it's still not back to normal, I asked the pharmacist about it but they couldn't really help, I'll have to wait until I see my doctor on Wednesday. Dropping my dose had helped a lot with the unpleasant side effects too, 40 was too high for me and I was almost bed ridden with nausea, headaches and double vision. I got up yesterday and it felt as though my eyes were going to pop out if my head and I could hardly walk because I was so cross eyed and dizzy. I've never had such powerful and unpleasant side effects on anything as I have with methadone, it seems so much harder on the body than heroin.
