vision problems in days after mushroom use

I took 2.5 grams of cubes this last weekend, and had my first "bad" trip.

During that trip, my visual experience was massively altered. At some points, the visuals were confined to one eye (left) - or perhaps one side of the brain - while the other side seemed normal-ish. This was either caused-by was contributing-to my freak-out at the time :/ ...

The morning after my day trip, my vision seemed kind of split up, with my brain not really sure whether it wanted to be right or left eye dominant. This seems to come and go over the last two days.

I'm also still a bit anxious and my psyche seems to be a bit tender since the episode, so my gut says this is anxiety-related. Anyone else have vision issues like this in the days following mushroom use? Any ideas on how to prevent this in the future?

I've taken shrooms a number of times, and sometimes at slightly higher doses, but this seemed like the strongest dose yet. As far as the challenging trip goes, I sort of got what I asked for. I wanted to use the mushrooms to deal with some emotional blocks I was having. And once I opened up those doors, I kind of felt trapped in my issues. I made it out alive, after about 90 minutes of struggling, thanks to a little help from my friends. After all the crying, hyperventilating, and panic, I managed to enjoy the remaining hours of visuals, laughter, and connection.

Relax. You did not damage your brain. If it is anything, it's most likely anxiety realated. I think many here have gone through unpleasant trips and their after effects.
The best thing you can do is keep it cool and lay of psychedelics for a while. Don't be scared and don't try to think of your perception as "damaged" - it will sort itself out by time. I think I can relate to the symptoms you desribed.

ya dude a strong mushroom trip can be scary as fuck if u lose control.

its definitely just some post traumatic stress. if you just relax it should go away. although if it persists id see a doctor to make sure it isnt an underlying condition that your trip just made you aware of.
