Does Vioxx (prescribed for backpain) have any recreational value? If so, what can it compare to in terms of pain killers like vicodin/percoset?
 
Rofecoxib is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). it works by reducing substances that cause inflammation, pain, and fever in the body.
it is used to reduce pain, inflammation, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis; to manage pain in adults; and to treat menstrual pain.
i was prescribed it for my ankle after major surgery.
 
Someone once told me vioxx got them high, but I do not believe him.
Since it is a strong NSAID, it may make one slightly drowsy. But I took it before, and it never made me drowsy.
So.....no
