Vietnam-era music

I'm hoping someone has a lot of experience with this erta of music and can point me to some good tracks. I like the feel of the music as I find it really conveys the emotion of the time well. Thoughts?
also if I can dream by Elvis and All things must pass by George Harrison....everyday people
By Sly and the family Stone

^ Wow I feel like I haven't heard that in a long time

I could imagine hearing this at a bar in the 70's while stationed in vietnam:

Sroeng Santi - Dub Fai Kui Gun

Fuck me this is awesome
It totally has that atmosphere, fucking choppers going over constantly back and forth while that song blares out of some shitty speakers, sitting in a seedy little tiki bar or something, I could totally imagine that

Also why did you delete your post Ninja, that disco fuentes Colombia song you linked was really good

I had a friend, years ago, who thought that song was by The Muppets; with Kermit on lead. Seriously.:|

i don't know what you're looking for in particular.

i tend to think of politicaly fueled rock songs like badmoon rising, fortunate son, gimmie shelter, run through the jungle, american woman, etc etc....

but, it was the 60's so there was also a ton of motown and folk getting a lot of play.

also, you gotta love country joe:

now that fucking song is stuck in my head.

I like that one, though I think this is probably one of the most powerful anti-war song's they ever did

Also here's another one "Beezlebub's Laughter" by Hoyt Axton:
