I'm hoping someone has a lot of experience with this era of music and can point me to some good tracks. I like the feel of the music as I find it really conveys the emotion of the time well. Thoughts?

i don't know what you're looking for in particular.

i tend to think of politicaly fueled rock songs like badmoon rising, fortunate son, gimmie shelter, run through the jungle, american woman, etc etc....

but, it was the 60's so there was also a ton of motown and folk getting a lot of play.

also, you gotta love country joe:

now that fucking song is stuck in my head.

and i'd also like to point out that i've been on a huge creedance clearwater kick lately.

i love rediscovering bands.

Yeah, Creedence is the first band that comes to mind - it's kinda become cliche by this point. Also Dylan - can't go wrong with Bob Dylan.

Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun

I couldn't find the original Bob Dylan version, so here is a nice version by Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam - Masters of War
Man I've always loved this part of that song

You've thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
FOR THREATENING MY BABY!
Unborn and unnamed
You ain't worth the blood
That runs in your veins.

Oh shit how could I forget Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
