Just been playing the demo of this from Xbox Live and I have to say, I am impressed.

I'm only a casual follower of MMA but they seem to have the mechanics down pretty well in this title. Fights move fluidly, the controls are easy to pick up and yet still pretty in depth and every hit feels like it hurts.

The graphics are amazing, better than I've seen in any fighting game so far

The knockouts look and feel brutal and the blood lust you get to keep hitting after a TKO is a little worrying but I suppose it's all part of the immersive experience. :D

Anyone with any interest in MMA or just fighting games in general should definitely check out the demo. I think the full game is out next week (in the UK at least so possibly earlier/later in other places) I'd love to hear what other people think about the title.

Yeah, the demo was great fun to play!

I'm going to get it next week, I hope it feels as good on my PS3 as it does on the Xbox.

It's out today, going to buy it.

I take it that it was release in the USA earlier? Anyone played the full game yet?

This game is absolutely an MMA fans dream, i say buy it buy it buy it! I bought it friday and cannot put it down.

I've been told the controls are pretty complicated for this one. Different for striking, grappling, ground & pound and defence. Does look awesome though. I am a fan of the UFC anyway.

yes the controls are a bit complicated, but if you actually take the time and run through the tutorial everything is easy once you know the layouts of striking, and the layouts of groundwork

Yes I would describe it as fight night mixed with grappling/ jiu jiutsu.... The only thing i miss is the total punch control from fight night.....would love to be swinging haymakers in that game like fight night.... Last night i just whooped rashad evans to win the light heavyweight belt.....

Mm, if it had total punch control and counter control (not just tap the button to lift your arms up quickly and hope you have the power of foresight) it would be an epic game.

Still, Evad, check out Fight Night. Round 4 is out soon, but even on Round 3 the graphics are much better and far more brutal when you knock someone out, with their sweat and blood flying off in slow mo as you hear their face crack.
