video game: Resistance 2 (PS3)

So I finally finished this game and started checking out the online multiplayer. Amazingly fun.

Cooperative Mode, 1-8 players:

3 Classes to alternate between games
-Soldier
-Medic
-Special Ops

Each tracks their own experience, and each has special unlockable weapon and skill upgrades as you gain levels. Co-op games consist of one of dozens of small-plots with 10-15 objectives in each for your team to complete.

Competitive Mode, 2-60 players:

This is the standard frag fest you're used to. Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, and a couple other modes. Level layout is vastly improved from the first Resistance and things don't feel too crowded or hectic even with 60 players.


Bar far the best online multiplayer gameplay I've come across for the PS3 so far. I wouldn't be at all suprised if this game served as the template other FPS games use for their online games. I don't know of any other games on any console with as much replayability as this.

I'm telling you, any of you that are fans of First Person Shooters should get this game. It's a fucking blast with strangers. It'd be even better with a bunch of Bluelight druggies.

This game is amazing. The Campaign is really something else... Its so deep, Radio U.S.A broadcasts from Henry Stillman anyone? And the Multilayer is made of win.

I want reasons as to why they would vote so low. The campaign was amazing, the multiplayer fuckwin.

I got the special edition that came with the artwork book, the DVD, and the Chimeran action figure. that shit was dope. It had a little Bullseye Mark II you could make him use.

Played it round my mate's house for about an hour on co-op campaign.

Graphics are substandard, damage realism is poor, and AI intelligence is poor

The single player isn't that different. The online multiplayer is vastly improved.

Thats cool though. I prefer the Resistance franchise stay under rated. That way a shitty fan base wont develop and ruin it like some other well known games.

never played resistance 1 but my friend and i played resistance 2 for a good while the other day...

The campaign was fucking awesome.

The offline co op was rediculously hard with just 2 people. He played soldier and i played medic for hours, just repeating the same missions. Still fun but no where near as sweet as the campaign. Not being able to pick up other guns or heal unless you have a medic is pretty lame

Yeah, I can imagine trying to play Co-op with 2 people. having only 1 Medic is always tough.

I played it with the same eyes as Pengwin, and my basis for my rating is the same.

Been looking at some videos of this and it looks much better than 2 player co-op.

Gaylo 3 is Gaylo. I was comparing to CoD4, BF:BC and Far Cry2

Got myself a PS3 and was thinking of getting this, is it much better than the first one cause I thought that was really disappointing esp the graphics?
