video game: Battlefield 2 (PC)

I've been playing that game ever since it came out in '05. For all its flaws it's still in my top 5 favorite shooters.

What's your favorite kit,vehicle etc.? I play medic on city maps and like to whore the j-10's on airmaps so I'm a stat padding noob I guess LOL.

I used to play it a lot, when the squads work together well I think it's one of the best shooters out there. I wasn't great, the jets were a big step up from what I'm used to in BF1942.

I liked playing support because I could just grenade the fuck out of everything (including team mates, unfortunately).

Now I play the forgotten hope mod for 1942 most of the time.

You guys should play again, the newest patch pretty much fixes everything except claymores.

dont worry. My son was born while I was working for EA. He came out with a controller in his hand. It can be a great tool to use to get him to do his homework now.

Played it for over two years now - hopelessly addicted! I have about 350k points on my main account, I run a clan, and play competitively in TWL. It's pretty much the only game I play and will remain that way until bf3 comes out.. just dont get as much fun from other shooters.

I play it too, thats my favorite first person shooter online. After playing that game, it feels like other fps are boring now. I can't wait till Bad Company comes out for the 360. It's gonna be really fun.

BF2 is a load of shite.

You want Desert Combat mod for 1942.. much better flying physics and shit, just a bit laggy online

DC having better flying physics? I couldn't stand the helicopters, they were damn near impossible to control.

^^UT2004 and 3 onslaught maps seem dull and hollow by comparison I know, same with quake wars. BF2 is definatly the best online shooter out there. BF2142 I don't like very much becuase its too infantry oriented and titan maps lag like a bitch.

Helicopters are too slow and unrealistic for them to be fun.

I admit that with DC, it is near impossible to fly with the mouse.. you have to use both hands on the keyboard, which is good, except for air plane dogfights.

I always fly with the arrow keys with helos and jets. Different strokes I guess...

I also just use the keyboard for flying. I found the helicopters were easier to score kills with once you got the hang of them in DC. I'm hopeless with the aircraft in BF2 except when I'm in support in a heli.

I still think Forgotten Hope is the best mod for BF1942! My only beef is that most servers put the tickets up too high so the maps last too long and also that nametags don't show up across any decent distance so it's easy to team kill. I want to see them bring out another world war two battlefield but with some of the features from BF2. I much prefer the open spaces of BF1942 to the urban combat of BF2.

have they improved the weapon accuracy and the bunny-hopping? i liked playing infantry, but the physics were terrible and i got fed up after a few months.
