There is a new strength gr Vicodin 7.5/300 and I would like to know how 1-10 a day for 2-4 years would affect the liver? And what would be the daily limit of APAP in the liver be? To cause little to no damaging effects on the liver long term.

The daily recommended limit of APAP runs 3500-4000 mg depending who you ask. I honestly don't know if doing up to 3000 mg a day for such a long time would cause liver damage or not. I would get your liver function checked once in a while (ALT/AST - simple blood test).

The daily limit has recently been lowered for APAP from 4000mg max a day to 3000mg max a day (24 hours). And yes, you would be likely to suffer some liver issues if you were to exceed that, especially long term. It has been all over everywhere lately. This is why the dosages in mixed meds are now limited. It is now 325mg in with hydrocodone (and its not new, this dose has been around). It is a very real and becoming a very common issue. APAP is causing so many people so much harm and OD.
